So, while I totally agree that we in WvW get little dev lovin and I have little confidence that we will get enough down the line to really make a difference, right now all the game modes are messed up, one way or another. Players are screaming in every forum, but if you look at the Dev Tracker, there are basically no dev posts anywhere, with the exception of a few Esports (PvP) ones, and things related to the API or account issues.
My guess is they are in hunker down mode, working hard to fix stuff, and probably being told not to post anything in the forums. Based on how much is messed up with HoT I would estimate that we still have a few months before any dev lovin is coming to WvW in any significant way. They did move the way points so, it’s not like we are being totally ignored….

Or they’re on vacation in some 3rd world country…

GW2 should have a community manager that actively engages with forum users. It is figuratively criminal that a major MMO doesn’t have at least one that posts and engages on their own forums.

Just post a Matchup thread that will get their attention

Figuratively speaking, we have ArchonWing as our forum specialist. I don’t know how well his communications with Anet stands but he does interact with us. About the only thing productive Anet did was sticky the thread he created.

ArchonWing is great but is not working for Anet, does not really develop the game and probably has no more information about future plans then we do.

A community manager should take player concerns to development/design and relay feedback from development/design to the community forums on a consistent basis (as in daily or at least weekly). If they don’t relay back that information, there is no point in having a community manager and might as well call it a “suggestion box”… that we don’t read.

In Anets case the only real community managers they have seem to almost solely be dedicated to policing the forums.

Almost everyone has a dedicated Anet WvW suggestion box. Just write down your suggestions in a clear and remember, helpful manner and then deposit the paper in the nearest Anet WvW suggestion box (aka garbage can or recycling bin) where it will receive all the attention Anet deems appropriate for WvW.

Fixing WvW should take priority over raids. As you say raids are not for large audiences. Of course raids = PvE and we should all realize the love affair ANet has with PvE.

Yeah…. I just tried the raid with my guild for the first time, got through the 3 pre-bosses reasonably well. That raid is never gonna be run by a lot of people, just the timing alone is going to make it impossible for anyone without a fast computer and good connection.

Well, the completed silence on any of the really seriously messed up stuff in either PvE or WvW continues… Esports tho…. Anet loves their esports.

I’ll let you in on a little secret, base level sPvP is not getting the attention it deserves from the devs either. Extremely poor balance with no balance patch before the league starts, so no balance pass now until next year. A poorly implemented dishonor system. Low level players being forced into playing stronghold. The list goes on.

They sold us the expantion and now work is done till the next expansion.

The only thing they want to push is their eSport and this is very bad, with the balance at the moment. There is a reason why GW2 is not a big eSport Title and never will be.

They should instead focus on all game modes, to be even in rewards and fun, but at the moment WvW lags rewarding things and fun, because less enemies less fun
