So … I’m rather new to the wvw especially the new reward system. The thing is I need 1000 Badges of Honor for my legys but how can I farm those with utmost efficiency. I “wasted” 2 hours yesterday and was rewarded with 60 tokens :P I think I’m just messing up a bit
So what is the best way to farm BoH these days? Thanks for your help!

I would recommend getting on a dragonhunter that is tanky and equip staff and 11111 through all the fights. Make sure you have provision master and do as many fights as possible. If you can command, I would go to edge of the mists and bag farm there. If there are any good fight guilds that blob on your server, follow them in wvw. The key is to have a lot of fights and have each fight be blob vs blob.
The fastest way is to get a dedicated WvW guild, get the right builds, learn how to fight, and kill players. The drop rate on BoH were buffed on player kills and more or less removed from other sources outside of dailies.

221 hours over 1,581 days of bank space/hot pve/lion’s arch afk and some wvw.
1000 badges will take you quite a while. Before they nerfed the drop rate, EoTM dropped so many of them it got silly, so they took the nerf bat to all of wvw as a solution, meaning gaining 1000 now takes a very long time. I have noticed a better drop rate killing players but you need to play a tagging toon to get them- so join the spam 1 brigade at the front of the line for maximum badges. You might find playing a mesmer extremely slow on loot and badges (although mine doesn’t do too badly when I play it).
WvW player. Doing another world completion for my next Legendary. Hater of mini-games.
The most time efficient but not the fastest way is to simply do wvw dailies. Those give the most badges for time spent (10-20 per daily), but obviously you can only do them once a day. Though sometimes you will get the big spender and you’ll get less badges back than you spend. Non-WvW’ers should take this approach.
Otherwise, you can kill players for them. Find a zerg in EB or EOTM, pick a class like an ele, guard, or ele to give as much support and hit as many targets as you can.
For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards,
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
So … it’s more rewarding to swing the lootstick in a zvz situation than actually capturing objectives ? :/ That was my mistake then – well thank you all! I hope I’ll get my 1000 tokens together. How many hours do you think does it take? 10? 20? :S

No, that is also a bad idea because the grenades are projectiles that can be simply reflected or destroyed. Less tags that way. I’d suggest something with a lot of AOE like a Necromancer, Elementalist or Guardian for trying to make sure you get a lot of tags.

It really can’t, and you’d end up dead for a lot of reasons— reflects and also having to take offensive trait lines. Mortar is too slow and grenades hit many small hits so retaliation will eat you. You’d have to use mortar as support (use it to set fields), and hammer/medical dispersion field.
