I am honestly a little worried about the fight against FA.

When I was on TC, we crushed FA, but their players are infact individually skilled. I always believed if those players would come together and get organized than they could really shake the battlefields.

Tarnished coast has always been one of my favorite opponents. Best attitude of any server I’ve had the pleasure of fighting. Hopefully the last few weeks with SoR hasn’t changed anything. Good luck to everyone, especially SoR in tier 1.

We’ve definitely gotten better as a server, and even our original guilds have been stepping up their game from what I have seen. I don’t have any expectations in this match, other than we’ll have people fighting no matter how the score looks. I’ve missed killing the dolyak lovers so this match will be fun regardless

BG will win hands down.
TC is probably going to get smacked around pretty hard. BG is going to be looking to get huge points gains to slingshot into T1. FA is going to have tunnel vision against TC so BG will take advantage and take as many points from TC as possible.
BG has does a good job of knowing who has tunnel vision and hitting the server they are after. They did it a lot in our IoJ match ups. They’d see IoJ focused on us for a while so they’d take the opportunity to get points from us. Call it what you want, I call it good strategy.

FA doesn’t have the coverage or experience to compete against a T1 server yet. They’ve gotten transfers but not enough or their matchup this week would be a blow out because neither Mag or DB have T1 coverage either.
Top that off with BG has gotten more guilds so they have even better coverage then when they faced SoR and TC last time.

BG will run away with this match. TC will stay strong and fight till the end. The new FA hasn’t had to face drastically over whelming numbers yet that I am aware of so it will be interesting to see if they continue to fight.

Either way TC is going to get a better matchup then they had the last 2 weeks so good for them. BG is getting exactly what they wanted which is big points to jump to T1 while SoR, JQ and SoS slowly climb their way back up the ladder.

Hey FA, since I have not played against your server in a while I am more favourable towards you.

Here is some information on BG and TC.

In general, the individual skill level of their players is low to average. I only came across 4-5 players of each server that I considered good. While there are undoubtedly more, I did not come across more while playing against them for over a month.

Their main big guilds, in regards to coordination and organization are also low to average, with BG’s big guilds leaning more towards the average as opposed to the other. [HB] guild on BG is the only one I would consider to be above average. While they may be weak individually, they are quite effective as a team.

If you guys employ small mobile groups against the zergs of both servers, you can gain quite the advantage. Just 4-5 players can keep 10-15 of them sitting in a supply camp to defend it. 4-5 can pick off a quarter of a 40 man zerg while it runs to its destination.

Additionally, focus firing their commanders and then humiliating them is also quite effective. (eg. corpse jumping them while their zerg is standing around them) While some BG and TC commanders are relentless and wont be phased, others will rage and lash out at those around them. This in turn will lead to a lowering of enemy morale or irrational behaviour by their commanders.

One night, there were 5 of us that were being chased by 30 TC players around the Mendon, Speldan, Anzalias area. While they would occasionally get one or two of us, we kept running around and ressing each other which made for a prolonged half an hour chase. A half hour where our side had a +25 man advantage over TC.

In short, keep poking at their dead bodies. The spirits of the dead often seek revenge.

Glad it’s not just me. Those events look like a great time and I wish I could attend more of them, but I’ve never really been too clear on why they’re called roleplaying events. Not that it matters, I guess; I just find it curious.

Anyway, looking forward to the new matchup. Nothing against SoR and SBI. In fact, I might even go so far as to say I’ll miss the Choo train! But change is always interesting and I’m eager to see what effect the reset has over the next few weeks.

…Oh who am I kidding? It’s all about Usagi’s scoreboard updates for me. There, I said it.

The unknown here is BG, we faced TC before and held our own despite being greatly outnumbered, in fact, FA just got the numbers a T3 server should have. This allowed FA to develop individually skilled players to make up for the large numbers we are used to face.

As for coverage NA & Oceanic presence is strong with the addition of IoJ´s Guilds.

As a bottom line: FA has faced a lot of servers going up and down we stood ground for 11 weeks on T3 despite servers having double or triple our numbers and we have developed tactics accordingly. The new match-up will be very interesting, I cannot predict a winner but I can say that it will be a hell of a battle and a whole load of fun for all the parties involved.

This actually makes me feel a little better about how we’ll do in the match… we have some very good small groups that can put out the pain…. as well as larger forces that focus on siege. As far as I know our guild is the only one that goes out soley to destroy, demoralize, and farm the zergs (granted we’ve become a decent sized group ourselves)… hopefully it will be enough.

Any server new to a tier will supply the highest yield of rating. We experienced that when we entered T2. Both SoR and BG came after us because it meant they’d get better ratings .. it wasn’t personal (in most cases), it was just what needed to be done.

Hmm one question. How would you know the commanders rage and lash out at those around them?

Yes…SOR is used to dealing with our big zerg. Our massive zergs. We’re simply all over the maps. The only one that could truly match our numbers was SBI. Believe the intel, trust the intel.

All servers will be worth the same points. BG isn’t going to be looking to hit FA anymore then they are TC. Their server strat is usually very opportunistic. So if TC or FA have a grudge BG will piggy back on that. BG wants to get the most points possible out of this match as it’s a building point for the race to T1.

From what I have noticed of the forums(not always a good representation) so far FA seems to have something to prove so I expect them to come out hard after TC. Which means BG will likely do the same and ignore FA until there are no points left to gain from TC.

TC expect to fight a 2v1 most of the night. It might not happen but I would bet a fair amount on it based on what I have seen.

FA I know you got better coverage from some IoJ guilds but that won’t be enough against BG. You need big 24/7 coverage to be able to compete at a T1 level right now. From what I can tell you still have some coverage gaps since DB was able to out PPT you during parts of the day earlier in the week. 18/7 coverage won’t cut it, you simply can’t recover for getting 500+ PTT against you for a few hours a day.

Who knows though, no one has seen FA at this level. Maybe they will surprise me.

This match has all ready been decided. We all now that BG is going to win. TC or FA doesn’t have the coverage BG has. Primetime will be fun but its a shame the winner has been decided before the match even starts.

I don’t think they will ignore them all week. But for most of the reset weekend as long as they can gain points off you guys.
They did it to us big time when IoJ would focus us at reset. Note: I’m not saying anything bad about it. It’s a smart tactic if you are playing for points.

I honestly think FA may have the coverage to beat TC now in a 1v1. But TC should have the much stronger NA if this week proves anything. You guys have been fighting at a very difficult skill level for a while now and grown a ton. I don’t think FA has had to face that kind of organization and T1 tactics yet. Since BG should be there to stomp FA for you in your coverage gaps they won’t be able to get many points on you during those times. So your NA should be able to beat FA in the long run.

I’m excited to see how this match up plays out though. I really like TC’s attitude.

Sanctum of Rall: Quantity over Quality

Pretty sure sanctum of rall was holding its own prior to the influx of guilds it got over the past two weeks. 95% of the people they got came in off peak north america, which is why there was such point gain. Unfortunately TC was mostly stuck fighting them alone because SBI lost a lot of people.

The crazy thing about FA, a lot of us have the same mentality.

We don’t seek internet glory and fame by destroying servers and going to T1.

We don’t really care about the virtual scoreboard.

A good large chunk of us care about killing people, and farming zergs.
