I’ve reported roughly 10 hackers so far this matchup, ALL of them from Dragonbrand.
While I don’t blame the entire server for the actions of 10 people, it is concerning to see this many in only 2 days so far, from the same server.
What are the odds!? 51 servers in the world, and somehow, we have all the hackers.
Obviously, the hackers are the same ones conspiring to double team Maguuma.
Why does DB have so many hackers who double team Maguuma? Seriously, you guys are approaching Emry Bay’s animosity.
Only Maguuma can answer that question. Something in the past must have been done to offend all the hackers. And now you’re suffering some sort of Kill Bill-esque ninja hacking retribution. Run while you can.
Nobody blames the entire server. We blame the people that are being shown cheating. Take all your back seat modding and kitten it. The mods won’t know about it unless somebody reports it. And nobody should report it if there are no allegations made toward the server.

It’s not supposed to be posted on the forums. The method of reporting hackers is to do so in game. Forum moderators probably only deal with the forums, and have no bearing on what gets reported in game.
Nobody is looking to get anything resolved from putting incriminating videos on the forums. It’s simply to talk about what’s happening in-game, as shown by the evidence it is happening in game at an alarming rate atm. Talking about what’s happening in-game is the entire purpose of these forums. Why people take offense to something that has nothing to do with them is beyond me. Maybe they weren’t loved enough when they were little.

This is my 2nd video of a DB hacking in 2 days, I’ve seen more but didn’t record in time. Not saying everyone on DB is doing this but you have quite a few.
I don’t think that DB player was hacking as they were using a staff. It was convenient how they caught that aoe stealth when they did and got the out of combat regen.
On a side note I kited a bunch of people around a fully upgraded supply camp on the first day of the match in eb. The circle was up but they couldn’t cap because I was still alive. I popped both my invulnerability cooldowns and kited around buildings with ranger gs until backup arrived and wiped them. It was like something from an Albert and Costello movie. I run around the building and see them running after me going around the corner ahead of me.
Also, where are you guys seeing these hackers, especially 10 in 2 days? I’m in WvW A LOT and have maybe seen only 2 hackers in my WvW lifetime (1 under the ground hack and 1 fly hack) since release. I’m starting to believe culling, lag, PvE items and lack of knowledge in game mechanics are bringing about a hysteria in people.
Keep lord rooms in Mag BLs, alongside the rest of the keep, are getting their siege destroyed 24/7 this match up. This ain’t no hysterics. This stuff is flat out ridiculous.
It’s near impossible to defend anything when all your siege is lost the moment you put it down, regardless of where you place it.
Nobody is blaming the entire Dragonbrand server for the actions of a handful of hackers. Unfortunately, that server seems to have the most in all my experience in wvw, so it’s easier to judge and generalize and harder for some people not to as the incidents pile up. The smart ones simply have fraps ready to record and leave it off the forums.

Because of some dickheads who don’t represent an entire server. The OPs intentions mean well and i agree 100% that they should be taken of immediately – but doing this exacerbates the tarnishing of an otherwise good server from, as mentioned above, dickheads who just dont care. Two mesmers in the EB Jump Puzzle, which one of them stayed around for a while so I partied with some Dragonbrand players from GASM, and they helped me by reporting and trolling the hacker. Then another mesmer flying around the map above the ground and lastly that guardian in the supply camp.
I am a commander, and I have nearly 1600 hours of WvW gameplay. I understand the game mechanics very well and anyone who knows me, can easily back that statement.
But again I’m not blaming Dragonbrand as a whole. It’s unfortunate they seem to be plagued by hackers this round. I can’t understand why and I doubt anyone else would be able to answer that either. There are still LOTS of honorable and respectable players in Dragonbrand and I chat with some of them daily.

It’s a Harry Houdini video. The elemental blocked the first portal. The reflection wall was cast by another guardian in stealth. The second teleport was an intervention(Judge’s or Merciful on someone in stealth) ability followed by stealth.

The reason we’re pointing it out is because it’s worse than normal. There’s always a bunch of goobers and you learn to simply take them as they are. But my word, this match up has been absolutely brutal with them to the point of comedic.
All I can really ask from you forum goers is, if you could make an extra effort to crack down these goobers if you see them on your own server, please publicly shame them into oblivion on team chat for the rest of the week. Mag’s found in the past it does wonders to keep fools from trying stuff when they know they could be ridiculed by the community for the rest of their natural WvW life.

For what it’s worth I’ve spent several hours in WvWvW this week on DB and have not once seen anyone say in chat “don’t kill X defenders/invaders so we can take down Y.” I think the current scores accurately reflect the number of players in each world, not any kind of cross world coordination.
Of coarse you haven’t it is just delusional minds that think this every single freaking week server after server. Kinda silly that people need to justify losing by making some crap up when the fact stands Mag/DB are losing cause of pure numbers.

Maguuma is made up of many different people with many different opinions. Right now there are 4 T2 servers. I, personally, would like to be in a tier that’s an even matchup. I don’t care about being in a higher tier because it seems like the higher tiers are lazier.
Another week of forum wars?
A couple things here from a non conspiracy theorist level headed guy.
Nobody is double teaming us. There is no reason to. Fa can put up numbers, db can put up numbers, we can put up numbers. Everybody from every server is always outnumbered in every fight they lose, but also even numbers in every fight they win, or again outnumbered.
Wvw is not an equal sum game. There is only one winner, regardless of how that win is attained. The amount of QQ from all sides about zergs, oceanic coverage, double teams, etc does nothing to enhance the fun we all seek.
Hats off to Fa and db, some worthy fights this week. We win some, we lose some, but you guys are a worthy fight.
Ps… It’s wvw. 1v1 doesn’t mean much until fight nights. Let’s all cool down on the ‘even numbers’ talk. Isn’t gonna happen unless organized that way.

Maguuma has fought uphill battle after uphill battle, the only time we’ve had an “easy” match is DR and BP matches. Every match we have played we were outnumbered, except of course when band wagoners joined us (before the Kaineng match) for a few days until Kaineng won the weekend, so those band wagoners transferred to Kaineng before paid transfers were in effect.
Only recently, our team chat is full of people that have never played but 1 day on Maguuma but are bold enough to say “Maguuma deserves last place, Maguuma deserves to lose, qqqqq”. None of these complainers have been on Maguuma since beta/release. These are the people that DB and FA have been fighting.
People need a break, Kaineng put us on overtime, we are humans and have lives outside of GW2 and need rest. FA and DB get an easy week because of these factors.

It does not matter to me where we are in terms of tiers as long as everyone in our bracket has a fighting chance. I personally like fighting outnumbered but theres a big difference between being outnumbered and getting “kaineng’ed”.
The only enjoyable thing for me here with this timezone coverage disparity is skirmishing against BT and players of that caliber and temperament. Even if you lose they make you a more competent player because they force you to be aware, to think about counters, to react in a measured way. But its clear to me that whatever tier FA belongs in, Maguuma should not be a part of. Honestly, you should be fighting Tarnished Coast. We should be fighting Dragonbrand. Its just unfortunate that whenever you do fight Tarnished Coast, you also have to fight Blackgate or Kaineng and then you find yourselves in our position.
Unfortunately this is just a continuation of the precedent set by Titan Alliance on HoD and it is a very dysfunctional way to play any competitive game. You maintain timezone coverage advantage at all costs and let attrition grind your opponents down faster than it grinds you down. I dunno. I’ve played on the rough side of the attrition game for a long time in the HoD daily matches, the pre nerf Dragonbrand beatings, the SoS 2.0 match, the Crystal Desert beatings, and then FA and Kaineng. It wears you out.

Yeah, not sure I’d want to be in a matchup with BG AND Kaineng – that might be rough (hats off to TC for dealing with that). I would be glad to face off against TC again though. They are actually a really interesting bunch.
Anyways, Saturday night was a fun night on EB – Maguuma got me to stay up til 5ish AM, because it eventually became that fun. EB was slow at first that night – kept on going back and forth with rogue’s quarry and then eventually back and forth at Anz (when/after Mag was attacking WC) and that just got boring, but then things started picking up with the SMC treb vs the Overlook treb and small skirmishes in DB’s section. At one point, FA took duritos, which then I believe Mag took, then finally DB took their duritos back – that was interesting. That Rogue’s quarry though is a hotspot for green team. Consistently being flipped. The dredge tunnel helps out a lot in that aspect though, since you can mostly surprise attack RQ due to it. The back and forth with Mag (before FA took overlook) at Pangloss was pretty funny too with I believe [ILL] and some others.
It was funny yesterday, I was on my thief and ran into dredge and got trapped between a fleeing AoN member or two (I think) and a big FA zerg. After I died I got invited to team and trolled by a FA member who basically called me a dragonbaddie. Which was wildly hilarious because I r Maguuma. And then trolled mean by saying “scoreboard”.
Why do people even bother with that stuff? If I been on Maguuma from Day1 of purchasing the game, would people think I am solely focused on winning?
