i would like to how FA just portal bombed in Hills on Dragonbrands BL cause you didn’t have a wall down or gate down but you came though the stairs with 30 people. and no way should a mesmer or anyclass be able to do that.
We had already just been inside DB owned hills. The mesmers inside were aware we were leaving to re supply so they would have stayed behind to port. I don’t condone the use of exploits and I would hate to think I took a hacked port inside the inner walls. We should stick together on this as a community and work together to rid w3 from hackers. Anyone has proof then please provide it so I can report.
Thanks Dia, I was in Hills for the portal and was made quite toasty by the invaders. We fought hard for the keep having just overcome outmanned buff not 20 minutes before but fell victim to overconfidence and would be equal numbers a little too soon. The simultaneous would be assault on Bay that failed kinda hit hard for several players for DB.

We broke down that north gate 3 times in an hour. Every time we’d get in, get wiped, resupply and hit the door again. So you may have had a hard time sweeping mesmers with that kind of pressure on you.
Meanwhile, good fights in DB BL. It was good fun all around.

While Maguuma camps jp, they get dunked on in EB. And every other map for the matter. Perhaps it’s time to actually use that 30 or so people you got in the jp.

Just figured I’d give a quick kudos to the 20+ man magguman zerg that chased me around their borderlands for about 5 minutes before finally managing to run me into another group. Was a fun chase.

Maguuma is made up of many different people with many different opinions. Right now there are 4 T2 servers. I, personally, would like to be in a tier that’s an even matchup. I don’t care about being in a higher tier because it seems like the higher tiers are lazier.
This is an interesting comment, because most people in T2 are of the impression that there’s five T1 servers right now. There is also a lot less complaining about it in T2 but what do I know, I’m a roleplayer.

Not necessarily, we just want good matches. The new FA was a good match for us and BG, as is the current BG/Kaineng match. I have little doubt that if we end up against DB and YB/CD we’ll have another good match, even if it’s lopsided. I like all of the servers I’ve listed, so we’re going to have fun anywhere we end up.
Obviously it’s better for T3 if TC stays up in T2 simply because of experience/population issues. I just found it interesting that T3 believes there’s a ton of T2 servers while T2 believes there’s a ton of T1 servers. It’s sort of funny in the bigger picture lol.

I think it is pretty clear that JQ is T1+ atm, while SoS, SoR, BG, Kain all belong in T1. TC and FA are solidly T2, while Mag and DB are solidly T3. Of course due to the three-slot tier system, two of the potential T1 servers fight it out in T2, while one of the T2 servers drops to T3 and has an easier time of it.
The T1 and T3 outcomes are easy to predict. The winners are never really in doubt. The T2 match-up is the interesting one, especially with Kain having only just arrived.
Mag may get its wish and drop to T4 next week, but unless CD and EBay have become significantly stronger in the past two weeks Mag should do well and return to T3 rather quickly.

I think the general consensus that most people would agree with though is “There are too many servers for the upper tiers right now”.
I believe it will get better in time, we’re just suffering from a few servers being stacked while the rest either remained consistent or were completely stripped of wvw guilds.
The playerbase should be striving to have all 24 servers in each region be much closer in skill and coverage, instead of further apart. Would be able to mix up matches more frequently and, more importantly, would reduce the number of complete blowouts when one server is in a tier above or below where they belong.

You see though, the thing is I danced on his corpse…and his alone. I don’t see how I’m perpetuating the issue unless the guy is going to dance on one of my ally’s corpses. In which case he’s just a jacka—i mean…jackkitten.

I think the most ridiculous that I’ve seen was when 5 people ganked my level 20~ alt ranger one day and then all danced on my corpse like it was an accomplishment to win against an upleveled character by outnumbering them 5:1. ;D

In that situation, I decided it wasn’t worth it to both switch characters and go rally a group of people to help me, and then go hunt down a group of people I would probably not recognize a second time in Eternal Battlegrounds.

Dueling is not a barometer for skill in WvW. We don’t duel frankly because we do not enjoy it. Some duels we have accepted has been met with individuals who then completely re-arrange their traits and builds JUST for a fight with us, then go on an anger spree demanding more fights until they “win last”. Waiting 10 minutes for a group trying to “counter-build” us is quite honestly boring as kitten. Duels do have one upside: they are entertaining to watch when we have our lunch and dinner breaks. We’re all entitled to play this game in a manner we find entertaining; if you like dueling, more power to ya, its just not AoN’s cup of tea. If you want to fight us so bad, be in your regular builds, and find us on the battlefield

I have seen over half of those guilds in WvW. They’re not hardcore but I see them often. Think [MATE] is the largest of the bunch.
Another guild [TRA] who has a good commander Missy Duo can show up in force at time as well.
I think when all these guys show up at once it’s like Maguuma 2.0.

We don’t have a fancy website, but Legion Alliance has over 1500 members, and consists of the guilds PYRO, EVOH, GOA, TTK, ME, NOVA, RMNT, FFL, and SCRB. We mostly just coordinate on reset night and some other times throughout the week, but we can queue two borderlands if we all show up.
I know that TRA (The Raven Alliance) also has over 600 active members, and they’re really good.

[MATE] has been on Maguuma for a while. [EK] has been on Maguuma since forever. I’ve spoken to Paralda about some of the things they do community wise which are very interesting but focused predominately in PvE. There are some [EK] guys that I know of that hop into WvW and are regulars.
Nevertheless I’ve never heard of anything quite like the things they can do on our server. Paralda has seen them do things like rally the whole of Lion’s Arch, get them to rampage through Orr Shrines and end up with literally a 100+ man army moving as one. Whatever language they use and openness they have is very effective at getting alot of Maguuma players together to achieve a common goal. I think thats incredible. Imagine if that enthusiasm can be harnessed in WvW?
In the Devonas/Borlis matches our active population seemed to swell dramatically and we have never actively recruited. I sometimes think that alot of the players that turned out were here all along but we haven’t always made WvW the most inviting place to be, especially when its high pressure (like when we are getting outnumbered, hard). So if the MPA guys ever express an interest getting something organized together in WvW and trying to cultivate the right attitude to make really good creative PvP players than I’ll support it.
We can organize a server wide event to raid FA’s borderland over 2 days with everyone drinking Quaggan tonics. You will desecrate the Temple of Storms no more Aspenwooooooood.
