I too have noticed a big drop in FA’s numbers between the hours of 3am PST and 8am PST. It has only started occuring the last few days, so I’m not sure if it is an abberation or just a couple guilds taking a break or what. But what it has done is allowed Dragonbrand’s Asian guilds(NNK/TFV/GA) to get up to 500-600ppt, where as in previous weeks against FA we could only get up to just over 300ppt(and then relatively briefly).
I at first thought it might be that Dragonbrand’s Asian forces are coming back in force after the Chinese new year. And while those guilds have been doing excellent work, Dragonbrand is not running particularly more bodies at those hours now. As an NA vampire I was rolling through FA bl a few nights ago, and we never saw more than five FA defenders at one time anywhere in the borderland. Three or four weeks ago at the same time we would have run into 30 zealous FA defenders.
The change seems odd, particularly since I haven’t heard of any guilds leaving FA recently.

I had 10 superior arrowcarts despawn in EK after rebuilding them 3 times on our BL yesterday because neither team would come to our map. They both want to just train wreck us for 4 days in a row again next week with superior numbers, only to avoid going up a tier. And on the flip-side, we aren’t playing because we don’t want to do that. Yay! WvW is super awesome! I’m so stoked by these tactics.

I can’t speak for FA’s tactics, but DB not attacking Mag has nothing to do with ratings manipulation.
So they had all of eternal, all of FA bl, all of their own map, and only 8 uplevels were on our map flipping camps while the 8 of us on our map at that time were just allowing it so we could make some karma off of taking them back. Then they failed to take SE tower because they’re upleveled. This went on for 4 hours. They had the gate and wall at 10% at one point when I finally spoke in team chat that the walls needed repairs. We amassed 12 players from somewhere. (They were probably farming kraits out of boredom at the time.) This went on for so long that FA finally logged back in and started taking all of their stuff back. Hmm, they allowed their stuff to be taken so they could level alts. They’ve already said they were playing alts this week. When someone in guild asked if anyone wanted to do Fractals, I jumped at the opportunity to leave that snorefest. This tier is a joke to gaming everywhere.

They despawn after 30 minutes of not being touched. All you have to do is “use” them every 25 minutes and they won’t despawn.

No I’ve never known that, it’s short for my real name and has been my nickname ever since grade school. I’ve used it for other games too with no problem either and this is the first time someone has ever told me this.

At least that’s been my personal experience, like that time two nights ago or so when I witnessed at least 7 of you plus 1 or 2 from another guild camping in EB JP and beating up on 2 to 3 of us. So I most definitely am missing these amazing 5-man OG v. zerg fights AND the 1v1 fights that get crowed about so much. Wrong timezone or something? I can only assume that the reason 30 FA came to clean you up in the JP was because you were ganking the solo jumpers with superior numbers first. This is not to say that I am taking issue with camping the JP, only that OG actions have been speaking much louder than any words posted on these forums.

The exact time I cited is not the point of my post so much as “At this time of day before, we did not reach +600”. Leading to my theory that FA has slacked off at the appropriate time of day.
EnRohbi, your “theory” is only half right. For that timeslot on FA we have a huge coverage gap. BG and TC took heavy advantage of this in tier 2 and brought it to light. So what you are seeing is, without a sizeable guild/commander presence, our militia are getting discouraged and WvW’ing less during that time period—prefering to instead wait until FA has more numbers instead of fighting outmanned everyday and slowly losing territory.
This isn’t a knock against DB, but a weakness in FA that we are trying to improve on. And I can assure you our IoJ transfers are still out in force and have made a considerable difference in the performance and morale of FA overall.

A) is also really silly. You left a bad first impression on me when you implied people who run in large numbers automatically have no skill. You then made it worse by advertising your guild as the best (I have yet to actually see a single OG member even show up to wvw when I’m on). Also, for the record there was an AoN group that completely wiped a PuG force larger than them at WildCreek yesterday, yet all I see is respect for them.

In fact one of FA’s guilds specifically made a video montage of them killing solo’ers (many of them your members) with their zerg. Doesn’t seem like you’re very well received.

I just want to give a shout out to a few guilds this match up. PRO, rakk, AVTR, and EA. The players from these guilds gave us the best fights during this match up. Thank you for keeping WvW competitive. Also thanks to the guild (cant remember then name but it has an X in it) last night for letting us 5v5 and 3v5. Ofcoarse I can only speak from my own experiences this match up and other members of my guild may disagree with me, but i don’t care what those elitist kitten holes think =P

What is really amazing is to see how strong Kaineg’s coverage was during that same period last week. NNK and our other Asian guilds were getting killed by K last week. Really puts in perspective why they moved to tier 2, and why Dragonbrand will stay at tier 3.

Score update… Pay no attention to the demolition currently going on at Stonemist. FA has about an hour and a half to fix them up. Good defense by DB up until the end.
