Guild Wars 2

Last night our server got hammered from both sides and we were totally out gunned, economy and firepower-wise. We defended the middle keep for as long as we could and when my friends rolled up, the scene was totally chaotic. Both opposing sides had gone from fighting us to fighting each other. It was a huge free for all melee and for the first time in a video game, I felt like I was in a battle you might read in scifi novels. Felt like the battle for Troy.

Just wanted to share my experience!

The other nigh we were defending garrison being hit by both servers, 1 on each side. They were dropping the walls with trebs then pouring in through the openings, someone on TS was like “omg I feel like I’m in the battle for Helm’s Deep!” it was amazing tons of fun!

really? wvw has been so un epic i cant begin to describe it. fighting invisible armies that never render, having your territory taken while you are sleeping because they cant when you are there…..so epic

I don’t remember what keep we were in, but the gate had just got tore down by the enemy. We were actually holding a front line on the inside of the gate, and I (Staff/Hammer Guardian) managed to put up a wall of light from the staff (forgot the name), and put my 10 supply into repairing the gate. Since we had finally eliminated their rams and had backup arriving with fresh supplies, we held off the push and consolidated our keep.

It was amazing, and I felt like a “Class A” kitten for being that first hammer swing that rebuilt the gate.

Im with u OP – lots of ‘epic’ moments so far in my playtime -

Tho my fav has been rolling with 40 people Sieging Askalion Hills to get the Orb Back – trebs, golems, arrow carts, mesmer portals – everything was working great.
