Field Cannons for new WvW siege please?!

Needs more US Civil War parrot gun.
Field Cannon: 70 supply
Superior Field Cannon: 80 supply
Skills 1 and 5: aim left and right. Skill 2 and 4 aim up and down. Skill 3: fire.
Skill 6: High explosive shot:
10 second reload, 6-8k damage against players with splash aoe, 5k damage against wood walls.
Skill6: Grapeshot – Spray shot like a shotgun. Most effective at close range. Like the spreadshot on the ballista. Each shot 8k damage to players + 5 bleeding for 10 seconds 0-600 range, 5k 600-1200, 2k 1200-1500, 1k 1500+.
Skill 7: switch to mobility mode: 6 second cast. You pickup the end of the cannon to roll it. Cannon mobility rules:
- Move half as fast as golem
- Cannot jump or use waypoints.
- Cannon can only be moved by it’s owner unless that owner does not operate the cannon for 30 minutes or leaves the map.
Skill 8: mastery skill – Caltrops shot: Explosive shot that sprays caltrops on the ground when it hits.
Masteries:
T1: 20% damage
T2: Shot is 50% faster (longer range)
T3: Skill 8
T4 : Normal shot causes launch
T5: Shots penetrate gates
Fun times just thinking of hauling a cannon up to a gate and firing at it… or an artillery barrage like the ones at Gettysburg.

^ the point I’m trying to make. Even if damage can be applied to structures, make it that similar to catas on a door or even less.

of course they should, the more siege machines the better
what i really want to see is Charr tanks which you could play in a mission in story mode, mobile by players, maybe 2 player a driver and a gunner or even more gunners, strong against humans, weak against towers/keeps.
every server can only build one in every bl and cost about 500-1000 supply to build.
think of it as a mobile zerg destroyer siege xD , but because you can only build one also of the high supply cost it won’t be OP.

No. A blob will simply build more of them than you will and use them as open field siege. Any new siege implementation is a bad decision.

It doesn’t matter if a blob builds siege as long as you are not also blobbed. Thats why I said the damage scales according to how many people it hits.
So if there is a blob of 50 and it hits the center of that blob they all take tremendous damage. (Thieves would die instantly).
If you are spread out with your team and it hits an area where 5 of you are standing it only does a little bit of damage.
Edit. Honestly, this is how AC’s should function.

Or maybe starting at the center of the AOE’s is where the most damage is dealt, and the damage taken decreases the further away from the center you are.

I assume they would functionally work the way defensive cannons work.
To be honest, I don’t see the point. We already have Ballistas that fit a similar niche and they are already underused.
And for siege we have both Catapults and Trebuchets.
I demand Pact airships with dragon/SMC-buster cannons. I will not take no for an answer.

The second time you try it, the enemy had wised up, and port the golem to their spawn. More lols.
Sure but make them only deployable to a server with the outnumbered buff.
So in essence they do have to be OP compared to other siege and do mass damage. Basically capable of wiping out a large zerg in seconds that isn’t careful.
If enough players join so the outnumbered buff vanishes, so do the cannons.

Actually… Would it make for an interesting shake-up if siege weaponry could be used by anybody, regardless of who built it?
WvW definitely needs more siege. A++++++++++++++++ please implement this. We don’t want meaningful meta changes, intelligent balancing patches, or new/interesting mechanics/maps. We just want more siege. Please.
