Final solution for WvW population issue
Only way to fix population issue is tweaking income server which is outnumbered. For example if there is 1:4 ppl ratio on two servers, all income of lower server should be multiple x4.
I can’t understand why ANet didn’t figure it out, it is so simple, and should work perfect.

We are not talking about buffs for players but only about tweaking score to make match equal to servers real strength.

Hmmz, so that means that the maximum amount of points on a map would be random?
A tower, worth 10 points to the outnumbering server, would be worth 40 points if the outnumbered server takes it? I can see the SM camping already happening: 240 points/tick, just because the other server has more people..

Scoring system is to work out, idea is HUGE, SIMPLE and should work great.
I like this idea, but it should not work based on the server population, but on the present number of all sides in the WvW map.
They should give a lot more reward for outnumbered people, especially if they won. And much less for people running in big mob hoping for free kittens.
Like if u successfully defend a castle when being outnumbered 1 to 10 you get an exotic and triple amount of Wxp. If you successfully get a castle with 10 times bigger force than the enemy you get a dung pie and 1 world xp cause that how impressive you are.

Sure, presence in WvW (at a time) maps only counts. But overall in all borders. This outnambered buff which was included already is good enough. Now tweak score and Vabbi can beat Vizunah Square puerly due to skilled players (guilds), that would be huge thing for WvW community.
It still doesn’t fix blobing (which is non-fixable problem) but it would change everything in Gw2 WvW

Dumbest idea. People are angry because the BATTLES are not fun when outnumbered, not because they lose in PPT…

guilds : gtfo randoms from map , we are too many and we don’t get buffs

guild 1 : ok we got fully upgraded keep , 20 siege weapons inside (sup ac /balistas etc) we tick 100 point if we stay only 20 players on map , please the rest leave

Your idea will make players from same server to hate eachother, not increase wvwvw population on long term
O come on man ! if u have ratio of ppl 4:1 everywhere and you can’t take all maps you are just too high. Scoring should be made step by step to get perfect state but idea is clear, and i wrote about it.

The way to fix population issue in wvw is to find a reward that people actually care about then give it out based on points score in relation to a servers wvw population

How about modifying the outmanned-buff in a way that actually helps to balance the map? If one team is outnumbered 1:2 give them.. say 20% higher stats, if they’re outnumbered 1:3 give them 30% or whatever would be fitting. But that would immediately bring up QQ-posts from the small-scale players and roamers.. but if you want to play 1 on 1 or even 5 on 5, then imho you shouldn’t play wvw, instead play sPvP…
But buffing the stats of the outmanned team is actually the only way I could think of to balance the 60+ karma trains against lower populated servers who only have not that many players. Let’s just make an example… say we have Server A which has a Zerg of 60 people and we have Server B which has a Zerg of 20 people (in our matchup this week this is absolutely common). So Server B is outnumbered 1:3, let’s double their stats. So actually you have 20 people with the power of 40 against 60. They’re still behind, BUT! they actually have a CHANCE to bring the bigger Zerg down and are not screwed the second the fight begins.
