Finding the right server for a new player
Both Vabbi and Fissure of Woe are small warfare servers will a slowly growing playerbase. Both will welcome newcomers and because our playerbase is relative small alot are eager to help you with all your questions/builds/playing tips. And for now you will learn to play against larger numbers which will greatly increase your individual skill.
If you do want to join a larger servers I do suggest you do not join any of the top servers as they are extremely zergy.
Commence the T1 recruitment adds.
What’s your primetime to play? HoD has strong presence 9am-2pm and 5pm-10pm PDT. In between its small scale forces usually of about 10-15. Oceanic is weak however but fairs well enough to hold our stuff
The best player in the game
“I’m better than all of you!”
I think Anvil Rock might do some stabilizing in the near future. They’ll find themselves matched against both Ferguson’s Crossing and Eredon Terrace (already are) which are similarly populated servers. There are good fights to be had amongst the three and you’ll experience a minimal amount of things like “skill lag”.
I personally think you should stick with Anvil Rock for another few weeks and see how it pans out.

I’d stay where you are. The lower pop servers like FC, ET, AR, NS, HOD, etc will be more fun. The players tend to be more skilled. There are no queues. There’s no lag. I’d avoid the top 3 tiers at all cost.
Stick with AR! You will be rewarded with fun fights and you can easily make a name for yourself on your server
If you are looking for a great community I would check out Stormbluff Isle. Without a doubt one of the best communities I’ve ever played on, and we even have monthly server meetings!
Check out the server website: http://www.stormbluffisle.com/
What do you want to do?
- If you prefer solo 1v1 play, your server is heading to the perfect tier (T8).
- If you want small group play anything in the t5 and below are great for that including T8
- If you want to zerg, go to one of the top 2 tiers.
If you’re just looking for a regular group to WvW with, find the remaining WvW guild(s) on your server and join up. Get everybody onto voicechat. Not only does it increase your effectiveness it is ton more fun.

If you must transfer, I’ve have a lot of fun on Fort Aspenwood. It’s “in the middle” as far as WvW goes. By that I mean you’ll find both zergs and small squads to play with.
Variety and choice are the spices of life!
Don’t leave AR; we shall rebuild.
Anvil Rock
Generally speaking, if you think the grass is greener on the other side you are wrong.
This is the best advice I can give you. Take it or leave it but seriously consider it before transferring.

you will have to post the times of day (or night) you play, because otherwise it may be very hard to find the right server for you.
the servers with thriving playerbases may also favor zerg play during the times of day you’re on. so maybe you’d want a server that’s thriving slightly less.
or, the server with the best small warfare play may only do that during a time of day when you can’t play.
in the meantime, stick it out where you are. AR may be dead right now but they’re still adjusting to the loss of [ALS] and other guilds. once they settle into their new ranking, people who are interested in the kind of gameplay you want may start playing again. AR has always had a reputation for favoring small group play, but a lot of AR are taking time off from WvW until their ranking stabilizes again.

Yak’s Bend wants you!
Not sure if you left yet, but I’ve got a cold one in the fridge if you stay with us at AR
