Fix ACs los throught the roof of doors
Fix AC’s in general.
They can “fix” that right after they make it so ACs inside can’t fire at the door and hit rams/players outside.

exactly…both are stupid mechanics. The worst is cata inside a keep firing at their own door and not damaging it. Whoever thought of these deserves a medal. And still all other physics apply. /facepalm

And how you suppose to destroy enemy siege at door then? Defenders must have ability to hold larger assault force for some time.

I kind of understand, but then we would need to implement some amo for ac/siege in general. Every shot from a catapult requires say 5 siege, every shot from a treb 10, ac can take 1 each.
O.k. that was a bit of sarcasm about realism applying to GW2. I will agree completely with the OP when aoe caps are removed on siege. It makes no sense at all how I’m raining down hundreds of arrows but can only hit 5 people at a time.
Remove the aoe caps, fix the hacks, make it so aoes from siege are blocked by physical objects and yeah.
It’s probably a technical issue. Do yo u even need a LOS? I always thought it was just enough to be able to “see them” on your screen so you can move the ground targeting there… and since the arrows just appear magically out of nowhere from the air(instead of being shot like for example the engineer’s grenades are thrown) it creates such strange behaviour.
I don’t think anyone would have a real LOS through gate(like – he also could shoot with a rifle through the gate) – like LOS from the chars point of view… not that you as person behind the screen can see that stuff cause of the camera angle and zoom.

An arrow cart can hit up to 50 people at once I believe. There was a dev post about it a few months ago.
There isn’t a ceiling. Arrows go up. Arrows go down.
Now the question is why do they work inside tunnels and structures?! Perhaps there they should do 25% damage since the arrow has to be fired at low force not to hit the roof!
Ahh physics, how we miss you!
wanna know a way to fix it? have it so they’re no longer unblockable projectiles, or change the shield walls skills to be able to block/destroy unblockable projectiles.
i bet there wouldn’t be complaints about this if the eles useless focus skills did something again.
Arrows on the door should still work since there is no overhead obstruction. As in fire an arrow up and falls onto the flame ram. What shouldn’t work is hitting catas in a tunnel or under a bridge with an AC behind a wall.
“Youre lips are movin and youre complaining about something thats wingeing.”
They could always just throw up invisible walls to prevent things like eyefinity allowing people to shoot over walls with arrowcarts. This could also be used to prevent targeting a ceiling. kitten they already have these on certain keeps and towers (upper E side of garrison outter just above the SE gate, and the W side of NE tower). I guess that’d require too much effort though.

Dont expect anything at this issue.
Anet wont deal with this…
If even SM, anet couldnt fix the big holes at Lord floor which alowed just AOE it, their only poor solution was changing the lord to 1st floor and tell everyone: Hey We fixed the bug (LOL fail)…
They not gonna try to mess with 3D Mesh holes when the issue is Siege or AOE skills, Why? because since BWE they coudlnt fix, why now suddenly they gonna figure out a magic glue formula and cover all holes? If was easy as that SM Lord would still be at 2nd floor.
It requires tons of time to try/test/patch the 3D mesh, doubt they gonna do.
Only time I saw Anet move towards this issue was about special teleport points.
Proof of that is whatever a hole they find or we report they fix with very small stuff like increasing the height of the wall by just a few pixels.
Like some teleporting places I knowed at StoneMist, now they dont work because they increased the height, so the range got messed and I cant hide fast my mesmer LOL.
But just to clarify… I do agree its wrong seeing AC showering inside closed rooms. I dont know how you even managed to aim as that picture, but pro AC dude lol.
