The skill lag when 3 servers collide is still very much alive and game breaking. Especially for the underdogs. When a keep is taken under these circumstances they wonder “If only my skills would have worked,” before they log out in disgust. It’s bad for the consumer and it’s bad for you the company.
So I suggest to you after over a year of failed fixes to give some thought into adding more borderlands to spread the population out, capping the the amount of players on every map to an amount that would allow 3 servers to fight for 1 keep and still be able to use their skills.

Yeah, make more maps… Let’s have more deserted fields on the lower tiers because everyone want to be stacked on the 3 top servers.

The game does not function properly with the amount they do allow. It would be great if it did..but it don’t. How you feel about the top 3 servers is another topic. Maybe they could just make these changes to certain servers based on populations.

Skill lags can only be mitigated, since skill lags are introduced when there are so many players added to a synchronized cycle of a server.

Technical standpoint: the more people in an area, the more the server has to compensate for the slowest average connection present in the blob. That’s why skill lag happens. Mitigating it without precaution opens up some real issues when skill lag/delay is low.
