Currently when you are out numbered you are given + 33 Karma, Exp, and some other worthless bonus. Which sounds great until you realise that getting zergs with a ratio of 10 to 1 you will nev live long enough to get any bonus.

GW2 should use the old WoW type buffing of Health, Damage, and Defense to allow the greatly out numbered side to enter the field of WvW with a chance to suceed. This value lowers as the side balance out.

Also lower server transfers to once a week as established by Rift. This will prevent the old europe and US servers from stacking sides for night and day presences.

I’d like to see match-ups based on demographics on a server…vs plain geography.

Pretty obvious since Launch that HoD has a sizable Oceanic Population… I’d love to see them matched up against European servers occasionally; then maybe they’d have to work a little harder for their spot at the top.

I don’t think you should get anything for being ‘out numbered’.

Honestly.. if you’re out numbered.. you need to figure out another approach or kite them into a choke. If you get a buff for simply being out numbered? what happens to the highly skilled players that already defeat most groups even when they are out numbered?

no that would be horrible it never even worked in WoW they ended up removing it

if you have the outmanned buff you need to leave that boarderlands and try get your server to group up in 1 map instead of spreading out between the 4

One of the actually sensible things the WAR developers did was institute the Against All Odds buffs for the significantly outnumbered faction. I’d like to see something similarly powerful in GW2 WvW. Except, I don’t think it’d work because of the PvE content on the maps. I’m on GoM, which is getting stomped for the second week in a row. The major guilds have departed, and what is left is dispirited. Many of those that remain hide out in the PvE content on the WvW maps. Tonight we didn’t have the outnumbered buff most of the time. Yet it felt we were vastly outnumbered, quite possibly, because of the PvEing.

The second point I’d like to make is about the departed guilds. We need to limit server transfers now. If we wait much longer, server imbalances will only become more pronounced.

I was really hoping this game would scratch my RvR itch, since WAR is no longer viable and DAOC is too old. I’m very disappointed with my experience here. There’s little a small band can do against overwhelming odds. For the first expansion, please give us a Kaineng City map with lots of hiding places and alleys to trap our foes.
