Currently their is a flying hacker inside WvW he build a treb on top of a mountain that can not be accessed and is targeting our walls.

I know hackers cant be dealt with right away, its just not possible man power wise. With these week games happening a hacker can ruin the game for some time. I just wonder if the response time on things like this will pick up?

PS. yes tickets have been made.

I know most MMO devs like to build up a large list of people doing these type of activities and bring the BAN-HAMMER on many at once, but considering the impact on WvW these people should be banned as fast as they are reported.

There is no hack. This cliff was designed to be climbed, like many other places in Guild Wars 2. I know of other locations in WvW that are the same.

And no, I will not provide you with screenshots or video showing how to get up here. Use your imagination. Explore. I’m not just going to give you an advantage—we need every one we can get in this uneven match.

I’m on SoS as well, and I died 5 times trying to get to the trebuchets but I finally did it, and well it was possible to climb it.

Just confirming, it is possible to climb. Not in a difficult or sneaky way either. It is very obvious in the design that it was meant to be a (challenging) climb.

What about the people who flew over the walls of your keep to build siege on the roof to allow you to retake? Or so I heard that’s how it happened.

I have personally seen 1 Norn from SoS flying around the map at light speed.

And stuff like this is why WVW is terrible in this game.

When Eredon Terrace place siege in places the enemy can’t get to, it’s L2P and PVP happens. When others do this. It’s automatically HACKERS!

I don’t care how those trebs were placed on that mountain, but there is a Norn that is literally flying around, in the air, and moving extremely fast on SoS.

I’m sorry but its a jumping puzzle not a fly hack -.-

The person that has been accused of this said that they put trebuchets on the jumping puzzle.
maybe you need to get in a little closer to the point of contact to get the facts?

The trebuchets are not an exploit, but Sea of Sorrows has had a few hackers that I’ve seen in this match, especially that Norn who it seems uses some form of teleportation hack and moves very rapidly (at least 10xSwiftness).

For example, this picture here shows two SoS invaders in an unreachable place who “appeared there” when the keep was still impenetrable. We were still defending the door at the time, and had siege on the ramparts. These two started destroying the siege from up there.

Zelthios, so you turn a blind eye to exploits only because it is ET who are denouncing them? That’s what truly is sad. I bet if one of your country’s Olympics athletes was accused of steroids use, you’d be there complaining about the Olympic’s poor opening ceremony to divert the problem.

It doesn’t matter if it’s someone from ET, HoD, SoS, or whatever other server that denounces an exploit. It needs to be looked at, and the community should support such efforts to clean WvW.

Aww, not all of us on the server are saying that. I know there are hackers out there, but that doesn’t mean that every siege weapon placed somewhere you might not think is a hacker.

once again that doesn’t prove anything you cant just accuse people of hacking you ET server are terrible there’s a way to get in all places by jumping… vistas wouldn’t exist if u weren’t able to get on top of things

I do agree with a clean WvW. It isn’t a fun Multi-player game if you have cheaters there.

You’ve yet to prove this is the work of a hacker. There are plenty of areas in WvW that you can place siege equipment if you know to move around the terrain.

How is the bolded statement off topic? Yea he used the trebs on the waterfall as an example, which you guys have proved otherwise. But what about the 2 SoS people on top of Red Keep? How did they get up there? Especially with all doors/walls still up and being defended.

Zelthios and Jade, I’m not referring to the Trebuchets, those are not an exploit as I stated previously. What I’m referring to is the other screenshot, the one I posted. Go climb up to that spot, take a picture of you there, and post it here. Then I"ll swallow my words and apologize.

does it matter? at all? there is vistas where u climb a mountain and it can be buggy and people get up still same as in Stonemist are you saying it is impossible to get up there or have you not tried? are you saying they weren’t hiding up there the whole time? how old is the screenshot? you could have just captured it and they were inside still
