Flying hacking golems -video proof attached
I also have a screenshot of his ID. Where can I send the proof to report him?
more screenshots of the driver of that flying golem
he’s flying around when others were ramming the door
We need video proof of it. That seems to get the best results the fastest. I am on FA, and I feel horrible this hacker is on our server. Not happy at all, and all I can do is say most of us think the same way, and we are sorry yb. Its not right. Hope it gets dealt with soon, and we can go back to the fair fights again.

hmm … the 3rd screenshot is impossible. cant jump that high without hax. characters cant jump over about the level of the vista map icon thing. either he jumped off the lighthouse top, which is hax, or he jumped higher than normal or flew, which is hax.
should be proof enough in the absence of video.
head here to discuss wvw without fear of infractions
Thanks Chaba!
Report sent and here’s the video proof you guys might want to see

I’m wondering if it is the same guy who was in a golem under the map hitting SoS’s ebg keep and caught on Khezekiah’s twitch stream. IMHO most likely.

I was tricked into this thread with stories of flying Golems and I see none! I feel cheated! all I wanted was a flying Golem, is that to much to ask for?
Anyway I thought all the pros went to the borderlands? who cheats in eb?? We are all just a bunch of casual scrubs there.

I agree, Just seems like Anet likes the video the best. I just HATE this hacker. They have run you guys from yb off and your not even playing.
Having zero fun and honestly, Its just no fun when we go to take some thing of yours and I am not getting my daily ac shower!!! Keep posting video, we are all reporting this person. Lets hope Anet bans them.

I just fought the flyhacker tonight and got a lot of video of it. LMAO! I was laughing so hard I was crying! Uplevel warrior with the falling trait trying to kill people by continuously falling on them from above is some of the funniest kitten I’ve seen in awhile.

I got a nice video when he first landed. Bok and I were so surprised we didn’t quite know what to do. Then he flew away which really blew our minds…..
lol at the first pic chat box, “fa always cheats,” along with claims that the entire server zoom hacks. Guess it’s easier to blame someone else than deal with your own failings.
In any case, a significant number of FA WvWers have recorded and reported this hacker, along with sending in video evidence of their activities. Hopefully will be dealt with soon.
But obviously we organized it in the first place /sarcasm.
Meh, I think folks are peeved about being outnumbered 5:1 round the clock and being hammered into the ground, bleeding for hours to get a keep back, only to see this joker literally fly into it 20 minutes later to take it back. Frustration looses an angry tongue-not that it’s right, but …..
For what it’s worth, during my encounter, the FA folks pounding on the door backed off when they saw the hacker fly in, so props to them. Like you said, hopefully this guy gets banned and we can get back to beating up pixels cleanly.
Last couple of hacker threads all show pretty low ranked players doing it. All alt accounts?

I dont think this is the case, yesterday i see the player reported fly hacking in ybbl, reported him with tools in game and add to the block list. He had more than 2000 ap.
I reported that same thief. Im on SoS and he was speed hacking as well.

As someone on FA, I really hope this guy gets banned. It’s basically just ruining the fun for everyone in the matchup, and making our server look like jerks in the process.
However….before his inevitable termination I’d like to request a flying golem video set to either “A Whole New World” or “you can fly!” from Peter Pan, thanks
What really makes me mad, not only is this guy cheating, and making us look bad on FA, I am smart enough to see what we on FA have in store.
YB is gonna be MAD, and we are gonna pay for it dearly. Not only will they golem rush all out stuff, they are gonna camp and defend it. Would not surprise me to see yb get a way point in our eb keep.
Its gonna be a tough couple of weeks.
Just FYI loads of FA have reported and sent video proof to exploits@areana.net as well.

exploits@arena.net is for showing where exploits are and how to do them so it can be fixed. Last I knew reports like this never make their way to the GM’s from there.

Same uplevel FA warrior using falling damage to repeatedly knock people over. It is hilarious. Except that it isn’t.
Yes, I have reported this via the exploits email address. But I think it’s important to note that people are very frustrated when this occurs and the feeling is that when the violators are reported using the in-game mechanism, for example for botting, nothing ever happens. Doesn’t matter how many people report it. Yes, I understand that ANET doesn’t care if 200 people report someone, but don’t they have an obligation to investigate it? If given the violator’s account name and description of the violation and the timeline that it was witnessed, you would think that it would be enough.
It seems that either an anet employee has to see it himself while in-game (which prolly won’t happen b/c the anet tag sticks out like a sore thumb), or there’s got to be irrefutable video proof (and even then, there’s no fast guarantee). Anything short of that, there’s no ban. The feeling is that it just doesn’t seem like it’s a priority for ANET to investigate these reports.
The first time I encountered this FA hacker was when I was on a catapult hitting Garri, when all of a sudden, I was repeatedly getting knocked around by this falling uplvl warrior, pushing me all the way to the cliff. This hacker continued to do this to other players for many hours in plain sight in front of scores of players, even after multiple people have reported him on both servers. It totally ruins the game experience when this sort of thing is allowed to continue.

I disagree and here’s why:
There is the overwhelming perception that hackers have free reign in WvW while Anet does little to nothing to deal with them.
Now when you come into a hacker thread and announce someone has been banned — it goes a LONG way towards changing this perception.
And that’s important, because thinking hackers are everywhere in a PvP-type game mode discourages players from logging in — who wants to PvP in an unfair environment? Furthermore, would-be hackers are seeing — for the first time — that hacking can lead to bans.
Of course, you don’t want the WvW forum to be permanently filled with hacker threads, but I think it might be ok for the time being — until people really start to believe the problem is being dealt with seriously. Perhaps a (temporary?) sub-forum might be opened just for ban requests.
TLDR: After three years of the perception that hackers roam free in WvW, people need to see that something is being done about them.

I heard that CN server has been plagued by such exploits in a much worse way. I really hope this does not happen to NA server. Anet should take this srsly even if it is just posted on the forum. If such behavior becomes prominent, it gonna put death sentence to the WvW game mode at least.

At first i didn’t quite understood your post, untill i saw the vid..MAN that’s some sad stuff ! just wow, traiting up to make it fit with your hack, then using it in such a clear and stupid way so everyone can see you’re hacking…i just don’t get it,What’s the point of hacking so openly, what does he gain besides losing his account ?

An inflated self-esteem, probably, knowing that he can do things you cannot prevent; that you cannot fight back; a feeling of superiority. Meanwhile, he isn’t afraid of losing his account because nothing ever gets done to these hackers; they have free reign and they know it.

I think that that time everyone complained about the thief that was hacking, and did so in this forum has allot of people hoping for the same results with new hackers.
Not only did Anet step and say yep, he was hacking, he gave us a youtube link of him getting banned.
The only thing we learned from this experience is that the GM’s don’t work on the weekends.
Which is fair…since neither do I…
But this was reported multiple times by all three servers all weekend….
I AM BEST!
knowing that he can do things you cannot prevent; that you cannot fight back
I had great fun fighting back and trying to figure out how to counter what he was doing and kill him before he teleported away. Killed him even. Didn’t matter that he respawned in the same place right away. LOL

I think this guy hits the nail on the head. No matter what you guys are or are not doing on the back end, behind closed doors, it’s the perception that matters.

This guy has in fact caused a bit of consternation amongst many on YB. Yes there are many that are in fact angry at FA about the whole situation, but most realize you can’t do anything about it.
Hopefully with Chaba’s videos as well as others on FA reporting the player that will be enough information for ANet to permanently and publicly ban this player.
I guess i’m the only one that finds this a hilarious and refreshing break from the usual boring kittening.
I am not sure why, but seems like YB is back in the game now and logging in. I think its great. We had our keep taken, and stuff in our bl taken.
Nice to see you guys back, I have not seen the hacker around either. Hope they got banned.
I’d really love the ingame animation from GW1 back for bans at this point..

Chris’ post with Grenth attached is indication that he’s banned the player already. Grenth would appear whenever Anet banned players in GW1.

Gotcha. Didn’t play GW1 so, although the spectre of death was neat I didn’t attach the meaning to it.

All the spectacle of a public execution – in other words awesome….
I do think fa’s captures with account name made the difference – was obvious while caught in the act instead of a GM having to catch fa invader (or whatever rank he was) in the act… /salute

That would be Dhuum, not Grenth.
I vote for public executions in gw2. Maybe Wile E Coyote style where an anvil or boulder drops on them , or blast off on rocket skates and slam into a wall. ( I know, I can dream right?)

My favorite was the way Aeon dealt with gold sellers. Blowing up andd deleting the characters with a Squirrel.
I assume that discussing older NCSoft games here is fine.
