Except in game reporting has worked on many occasions. Just because you haven’t seen it work doesn’t mean it doesn’t work.
The problem with it, though, is that we can’t tell them what we are specifically reporting for, but that doesn’t make it completely pointless or a complete ‘joke’. It needs work but it has never been the forum rules to allow shaming anyone or call out specific individuals. There is a good reason to send to that email address and not post on here, the right people get to directly see it instead of possibly seeing it, you know, like when it is buried on a forum hoping an employee will stumble upon it.

The entire reason people post here — risking infractions — is that they’ve reported countless times either in-game or via email, and have seen no action. The guy says exactly that in the post you quoted.

Absolutely I gave the right answer. I took video myself of this guy, used the /report function on him, reported him for botting. Sent my video into exploits@arena.net the next day. I also mentioned it on this forum. A few hours later he was banned.
What you do not realize is that using /report gives ArenaNet the best data attached to the report in order for them to go look in log files to find the evidence of the hacking. Just posting on this forum does not give them that data.
If you want to see results, you have to be thorough and need to utilize all avenues, not say “oh this one is a joke so I’m not going to use it”.

Exactly. it’s easy to moan that ‘Anet won’t do anything’ but if you don’t put in the effort yourself, there’s little they can do. We got some new cops on the block that take an active interest, like Mr Cleary and Proheals. If you want them to be able to do their job and ban (or publicly execute, thanks Mr Cleary) the offenders, then the WORST thing you could do is publicly undermine them.

There is a HoD ranger flipping towers and keeps from underground or something, he’s been able to get into the keeps/towers without siege and can solo lords. We’ve caught him several times but he just vanishes as soon as you’re near the lords room.
He was also able to repair walls without draining supply in a tower…

If you can report him please do, and I can assure you most everyone on every server would love to have anyone doing that even on their own server removed by Anet. If you record video of it, per GM’s send it to exploits@arena.net
