Forming parties in WvW increases your loot
This poster tells the truth. Group or get shafted on the loot.

Is that the reason why people form big zergs composed of the whole map ? xD

No, that’s just the easiest way to take things.
I’d like to play WvW like the devs probably thought t was going to be played, taking one keep running supplies, upgrading, building siege, having to keep a few behind to man the siege before moving out to the next place.
But instead we have 40+ member zergs going round in circles capping places, moving onto the next one whilst the enemy zergs either follows behind then retaking, or deciding to confront the enemy zerg.
I think that what the devs thought WvW would be has instead fallen flat on it’s face. That does not means that there arent any good fights though, but real tactics are very sparce in it.
Remember to buy the officially endorsed GW2 Steel Series Keyboard, it supports macros!
WvW, we only care if it affects the servers we play on.
There would be a lot more head to head ( zerg on zerg) fights if people knew how much loot can drop from a 40-man zerg wipe….the ground is littered with bags (while partied )
Just trying to inform the community….I see lots of complaints/suggestions claiming loot is sub-par in WvW…..I think loot is very acceptable as is….
To post above complaining about pug zerg tactics and no good fights….those people are leveling…. an 80 should go make their own fight…go kick a beehive
….here’s a video of my guild on reset…..we go to deepest tower (mendon’s) in EB and see how long we can hold….

Maybe that’s what its like on your server, but most keeps are upgraded and defended on mine.
Nothing is upgraded on reset.

just keep in mind if you are looking to only farm badges is better to make a thief or a d/d ele and go solo :P, I have spent more than 500hrs in WvW and to me that’s the best way to make badges + jps
I’ve known for a long time that being in a party increases drop rates in PvE (because the damage threshold on a target is cumulative as long as you’ve hit them once), but it never really occurred to me that this applies in WvW as well. Makes sense though.
It’s a shame that A-net can’t get the party system working properly in WvW. Being unable to kick offline players is such a hassle.
