Fortified towers on EBG or BL bugged?
Hm, that is interesting. Afaik, the 600K/33% damage reduction is correct for T3 towers. 800K/50% damage reduction is supposed to be for T3 keeps.
If the latter is in effect for T3 towers on all borders then the game is kittened. No wonder balance get thrown out the window.
Sigh, the game was great for a week this summer… all objectives at T0-T1, PPT ranges within 120 for all three servers. Now we’re seeing PPT ranges of 200+ instead with impenetrable T3 objectives no one bother to capture or fight over, completely loosing game momentum.
Said it before, saying it again – this is what ruins WvW at its core. PPT increase per tier sucks and T3 sucks.

Walls and gates shouldn’t have the same amount of hp. I’ll re-run the numbers when I get a chance, but I think your meter is off.
The only patch that should have touched this is when T3 tower walls/gates had their health/defenses reduced a short while after HoT. If you got those numbers on Alpine BL, perhaps the towers there were never changed?
I thought this was going to be about the exploit reported in CD /t chat yesterday of a Mesmer somehow getting into t3 towers and porting their zerg in to cap it.

Too bad there is never a t3 tower on the desert borderland during my online times, or I would go there to check also
I finally found a desert t3 tower and they it had the same HP as EBG t3 towers. So the alpine borderland towers must be the bugged ones.

The interest for this imbalance seems to be pretty low, so I guess this problem will exist for another few years.
Allowing this to exist for another few years is not acceptable to me. I’ll bump this thread now and keep this issue in the light until it’s fixed.

towers are captured much faster on EBG too in Borderlands it takes “hours” compared to what we have in EBG ( I mean the open circle ticking after lord dead the difference is extrem)

Are you sure it is not just the amount of people in the cap circle? More people = faster circle ticks I believe
