So I see you guys did free xfers to lower servers and lowered the cost of xfers to medium servers. Great job guys this is great in theory and at least lessens the pain of having to xfer to a server where you’re getting stomped week in and week out… but I see you guys also raised the limits on what qualifies as a “medium” and “very high” population server and for that shame on you. I don’t know what kind of game you’re playing with your customers but I’ve guested on two “very high” servers and I can barely find anyone on any map… and they’re being utterly destroyed in WvW so I know they’re not there… I just spent about 30 minutes going map to map scouring the most popular areas on each map.

I’m betting if I guest on SOR or JQ or even TC I’d find a lot more people… but oh wait, they’re apparently the same population as devona’s rest and other bottom servers … so it would cost the exact same… then what’s the point of moving to a lower tier server and this “pre season sale” in the first place?

Summary : Anet offers free transfers to low pop and reduced price to medium, while raising almost all servers very high population which costs more than medium servers (costing more than it originally did to move to most servers).

DR is still High, it varies different times of the day, never seen us very high, and I think Anet is using all the idle accounts as a metric because everywhere I look in PvE it is an absolute ghost town. You could walk around in orr for days on end and never meet another soul

Ros is a medium pop server from memory although you would not think so at times, especially in PvE. Then you head to Lion’s Arch for some reason or another and the numbers there are large or you have a living world event like clock work chaos – players come out of the wood work. There were huge amounts of people battling Scarlet’s minions. My guess is a percentage of players only log on when new living world content is on offer as they achieved everything else in the game they wanted to achieve.
