Anet, there is too much bandwagon at the top, and I get the distinct impression that many people in those servers are sick of 4 hour ques, skill lag and zerg blobs all day everyday. Allowing free transfers to Isle of Janthir on down to Anvil Rock/Eredons Terrace may go a long way to rebalancing WvW populations and making the match ups as a whole more interesting.

i agree open them up, make them free to transfer too, but its not gonna solve the issue. Most ppl dont go to the higher tiers to win, they go there for the fights at all times. People get sick of having a server pop thats 10% wvw and 90% pve, so they move to the higher tiers, where its more 60-70% wvw and 30-40% pve.

I like the idea, but as sykkoB said, it probably won’t solve the issue. Sadly, I think the first step is Anet needs to look at all the guilds who transferred in the past 4 months, refund their gems and send them back to their previous servers. Then lock the top 6 servers down from being transferred to. From their, open up free transfers to the lower tiers..

1. Free transfers does not work to lower tiers. On ET we lost more people than we gained. I am an example. I was stolen by one of the new guilds after they got bored of T8 and transferred out.
2. People need to come to lower tiers because they want to be there. Investing a reasonable amount of gems etc is fine.

Do you realize how terrible that sounds? I should have the freedom to choose which servers I wish to transfer to even if it to an overpowered overstacked server. You too should have that choice.

It didn’t work the last time, so it won’t work a second time. People who want to be there are already there. What you’ll see is a lot of people/guilds transferring from T8 to T7 etc etc. Which is bad.

As Belle said, it turned out to be quite the recruitment tool for some guilds. Free transfers to lower tier servers. Grab some folks to bolster your guild numbers, then transfer back out to a higher tier server. There should probably be a “???” and a “Profit” in there somewhere, but meh.

I meant free transfers down to the bottom tiers. You would have to pay to go to any other server but the bottom 4-6.

As someone who plays on a low-ranked server (not bottom, but pretty low) i’m absolutely against this.

Most people transfer here to get away from zergs and be able to actually do smallscale (<= 5 players). Keep your zerglings for yourself.

I dont want those blobs and zergs from higher tiers to break our lag free nad queue free enviroment.
We on lower tiers are against this free transfers.
(but maybe,maybe limited free transfers? like 50 players per server? first come first serve?)
