Friday reset time from 10est to 9est?

No it wouldn’t. Reset is on UTC time. UTC doesn’t do Daylight Savings Time which means that in the fall reset would be 8pm/5pm and there goes the extra hour.

It’s a really weird time for Est players. Most guild start running at 9pm est. Its just an hour of not being able to do anything to help your bl. If it helps the other timezones out enough I don’t really care though…its not a huge deal to wait a bit.

Please anet move it to 9pm est so my guild can start raiding on resets once again :, (
boy I remember the old days of daoc I used to play till next day guess wvw just doesnt have that attraction.
Resets were fun and exciting when there was some matchup variance. When it is the same matchup for months on end – just another day….

I don’t understand why this is an issue.
Currently reset time is 01:00 UTC which is 9pm/6pm. So leave it that way for DST. Then when Standard time comes back into effect in the fall change reset time to 02:00 UTC which will still be 9pm/6pm.
They can change the reset UTC time because they’ve done it. And it only needs to be done twice a year.

It is a good question to ask. They’ve changed it, but might be a little more involved than we may think. Or may have something to do with global timezones that do not observe daylight savings time (remember when server time was changed from Pacific to UTC?). Just speculation on my part.

As a software developer myself, I would be incredibly surprised if they can’t write a small piece of code that makes reset times adhere to day light savings time.
