By no incentives you mean not enough pve reward incentives? I won’t disagree with that, although a-net did recently increase loot drops it seems. Making a lot more money.

Except with no one showing up because they’re farming in pve, big fights will start happening less and less.
It would take a whole heck of a lot of incentive to get people to go into wvw if their server sucks, or they don’t like pvp. Then if you did put this incentive in, the regular players would be on the forums complaining about queue’s and how carebears are taking wvw over so they can pve.
the only incentive that will ever work for wvw, is to get better and start winning.

That is why there are different server rankings. On those servers where people prefer pve, the fights will be smaller in wvw and on other servers where people are more hardcore about wvw, there will be bigger fights.

Loot gain parity has been an huge issue between WvW and PvE since the start. I am of that crowd that would do nothing but WvW, but i’m forced to jump back to PvE for funds and gear upgrades since there’s a horrible parity between, karma, gold, and badges for gear gains.
I play during NA prime time, the server is full, and it’s depressing as hell to see an out-maned buff. Oh also Anet please don’t let the other servers see the out-maned buff, it’s like the a huge please kitten me sign.
Keep the code in where if someone kills a player they get a level appropriate drop, but if a level 80 kills a level 80 then the chance of a lucrative drop should be seriously increased, it’s inadequate at the moment.
This would be abused so hard. Get a friend on another server to take off their gear(so it doesnt break) and repeatedly kill them over and over near their spawn;
I don’t need an incentive to kill other players. Nothing is more fun in this game than winning a skirmish heavily outnumbered, stopping a 5 golem siege cold with 5-10 players or fighting 3 players trying to gank you and surviving to tell the tale.

I agree. It’s irritating when the opposition knows you are under committed in a particular map just because they saw the “Outmanned!” buff on a friendly. It’s basically screaming for the enemy zerg to hop maps and PvDoor before you can get reinforcements.

well, the best part of wvw is the karma farming ikittennow how to. all those stay in cursed shore shouting “pty for karma farming” are lairs. they farm good gold, but not good karma.
but yes, please embed ranking system in wvw. and even commanders should come from it.
