last night in EotM, i got the most hilarious kill of my gw2 wvw career. i saw a warrior that i knew i would not beat, so i baited him into a fight. he was a perplexity warrior with a hammer and greatsword(lol) so i knew i wouldn’t win being a slow and terribad guardian( i main necro and admit to being the worst guardian on the planet) however, clearly i had the advantage anyway(smart>not smart). i was able to bait him near a cliff, and after about 5 minutes of letting him whittle down my health , he got me to 1.1k hp. I maneuvered him near a cliff ever so perfectly, annnnd pressed 4. fight over, golf swing improved. ended my eotm run that day about 4 under par.

what’s your funniest kill?

Also in Eotm. Attacked by a random player (cannot remember class) from behind, three quarters of my health gone before reacting. My main at the time was a ranger. Knocked the player off the ice bridge with one hit, the point blank shot which saved my life.

Fight on cliff side of hills, stealth build thief vs my guard, really annoying fight, he was pretty good as far as thieves go, so good player + troll build = really annoying, he stealthed, and I used banish at random……………………………..Then WXP pops up on my screen, some how I got SUPER lucky that I banished him in stealth and off the cliff.

Being knocked off a cliff and using lightning reflexes so put myself on a ledge. when they follow me down use point blank to push them down the rest of the way and win fight.
Either that or thieves who dont know about sic’em…seem to be so many..so so many..

note: this may come off as a bit braggart-y, but I don’t mean it that way :P I just got really lucky

Solo-ing 7 people (not sure if pve karma-training or cheese build, regardless I don’t think they knew what they were doing) via kiting and point blank shot + wolf fear. best part was when I knocked one off a cliff and downed them on a ledge, and like 3 of the group decided to jump off the cliff to res. Rampage as One + Point blank shot slaughtered them :P

Stealth trapping a thief that spent all their playing time tagging our keep on EB. Worked out their attack time sequence, swapped my player to thief, dropped down a stealth trap & waited by the door in stealth.

another funny kill i got today. i intentionally charged into an enemy zerg near one of the tougher objectives in EOTM. on a bridge with no land near it, got downed, press 2, knocked at least 2 off the cliff.

This one time in an inner hills battle on my guardian, the kind that last like 10 minutes, I tried to disengage to heal up a bit and a I had a thief jump me and down me. I saw where the thief was standing and thought, theres no way this will work. Hit my burst, thief went over the edge, i rallied, we won. So awesome.

So this isnt WvW but i have to post it. I was on my guard playing around in sPvP and we were on the laser beam map Its real name is slipping my mind as i type this. But it has the laser floors. Anyways it was 4 v 1 at the control panel up top. Me being a guardian i managed to hold my own for a little bit of time but the inevitable was coming. so i switched to greatsword and 5’d. Dodged backwards onto a floor panel and waited half a second before pulling them towards me. The floor broke and 3 of the 4 fell through with me. I felt like such a champion.

was slowly following a Mesmer to the top level of stonemist, and even though I was a bit behind her and not quite ready to launch my attack, she suddenly panicked and miscalculated the height of her drop to a hiding spot thereby committing suicide. she just laid there a minute then Pm’d me “oops lol” and left.

This is the first time I have seen this video (its great by the way). I was doing this off and on last week with my necro ( there are also some better spots then this in the mist). I have gotten over 40 kills from 1 spectral wall and ended the day with over 500 kills.

I was once trying to solo cap a Generator in EotM (on my Warrior) when I got attacked by a Thief. We dueled back and forth for a while, me almost killing him a few times, him almost killing me a few times, but the Thief forgot that every time he stealthed to heal, he was letting me get cap time. Eventually I managed to cap the node and the Thief got 1-shotted by the RI Ice Elemental. XD

Best kills are low health players that fail to jump to the ledge you are standing on. Resulting into instant deaths.

The most evil kill:

I downed an enemy trying to contest our Garrison with a cannon.

He was downed outside guard range and it was easy to fire another shot whenever he tried to use heal skill.

After several minutes his team mate came over to revive him. I downed him too with cannon carefully keeping the first victim in downed state.

Finally when a 3rd enemy came along, I let them all off their misery.

Sweet revenge after chasing these roamers tapping keeps and flipping camps in our borderland.

At Hills, if you move to south at the cata spot. There was 5 enemy at the very edge. I had hammer and i eqicked the stomp skill just for fun. I swinged my hammer 3 fell to death, stomp and the last 2 followed them.
But the most epic happened ling time ago when i played ranger at the west supply camp. My friend fighted with 3 enemy they downed him and all of the started the finishing move when i arriwed and pushed all the 3 down from the edge with my longbow

Probably this hambow warrior who thought I was a easy kill, then he started standing around like ‘lol wtf?’ and so when I got his health down to 10% HP he started running.

Also anyone I manage to pull with scorpion wire, catches them by surprise lol.

Best kill ever for me.
Was in a borderland, forget which one and was running to cap Redvale. Ran across a thief and an ele. Thief ran up the wall and started attacking the camp, couple of team mates went to deal with him. Ele stood on top of the wall and I feared her down with my necro. Chased her out into the open and condition spammed on her. Got her down to about 1k HP and she mistformed and ran away towards the tunnel next to the nearby tower but took a detour through the gap. I started chasing but just as she passed through her mistform ran out and she aggro’d a nearby moa who pecked her down… ran over and stomped. Stayed there for 5 minutes waiting to catch my breath from all the laughing.

Early days of Obsidian Sanctum running with a warrior (when I was a total noob). Saw some eles. I fell off the walk way near the first fire trap maze before the well. Looked up and while they couldn’t see me Kill Shot the first ele, instagibbed. Second ele came to res, popped healing surge for a full adrenalin bar, FGJ, SoR and fired a second kill shot, just before animation landed popped On my mark. Instagibbed that one too. Started peppering them with shots but third ele arrived popped an invuln and ressed them =(

Playing my ranger and took hills. I noticed a mes trying to hide under the bridge. and started peppering her with shots, got her down to about 1k and decided to drop down and point blank shot her off the cliff. Shot her a couple more times waiting for recharge then instead of hitting 4, I misclicked my stun breaker bind on my mouse and lightning reflexed my butt into the gorge.

This ones kinda after the fact funny. About 40-50 minutes ago I was kitten ing around between green side and sm in eb. Killed some BG from a distinctively named guild with not many players so I actually remembered it. The night starts winding down, I open up wuvwuv forums to see if anythings going on. Theres a post complaining about conditions in roaming and what do you know, his signature is that guild. Had me Trolololololoing all the way home!

One of my favourites comes from a few months after the game’s release. The guild was on one of the borderlands running from NW camp to NW tower. One of our Engineers called out over vent that he was being hit by a Thief up on the cliff overlooking the camp, and I happened to be just a little bit ahead of him so I ran back to see if I could help him, I was playing on my Staff Elementalist this day. When I arrived our engi was downed and the Thief had just started the stomp animation. At the highest point of the animation I used Staff #3 (I was already attuned to air) and knocked the Thief right to the edge of the cliff just before he could finish the stomp. He stealthed with Shadow Refuge and I managed to get the Engi back up. We stayed for a few seconds and found the Thief had jumped down the cliff with about half health remaining, so we both jumped down and killed him. The Engi had labelled that the best save he had ever seen.

More trolly then funny i guess. On necro, Fear focussed build, fearwall near the transfer from Bell Tower to Forge, narrow pass.

31 kills. Thanks to Terror spec also lots of bags.

I wouldn’t call this one a kill. I did get the “kill”, lootbag and WXP. The people I was “fighting” did die. But through no actions of mine, kinda.

We were green, defending SMC from Red in the lord’s room. We were outnumbered, so things are not looking pretty. In the chaos in comes Blue zerg. Needless to say, we were sandwiched, we scattered. Red retreated after a while.

I ran the only direction I could. Up. All the way up. The chasing party is catching up fast. No where to go, I jumped off and… I survived! Landed on a ledge facing the outer wall. Being a staff ele I’m pretty much harmless. So I was going to wait a bit then go back to the Green corner. It didn’t occur to me to WP out. But the Blue zerg decided to leave right below me.

One particular warrior spotted me starts to fire at me from below. A guardian joined in soon after from the walkway where the treb spot is. After a while the warrior went up top too. A ranger followed. Unable to outheal them, I decided to leap off with dignity intact. Before I could, I got downed. With no other alternatives, I mistformed and went over, expecting to not survive.

But fate decided otherwise. I landed in mistform. Down but not out, I started to rez myself, half expecting some passerby or guard to come finish me off. What came next was… inexplicable. One of the 3 Blues on the ledge went splat right next to me, rallying me. WXP and lootbag.

I nearly died from holding my laughter. Till this day, I still wonder (and probably will do so from time to time) what the conversation was like in their chat.

following behind enemy zerg on my mesmer and I pick a fight with a straggler just as they reach cragtop.

I take the fight towards the sentry and then 4-5 of this player’s guild/group break off from the zerg to help him fight me. I break off and run towards the edge of the cliff with 5-6 players chasing behind me… I cloak leaving a decoy on the edge of the cliff and double dodge backwards then use illusionary wave to push the helpers off the cliff killing them all… and surprisingly the only one left was the guy I was originally fighting… I finish him off with a stomp and then go to build a ram to start taking cragtop back.

Although not a single kill… I took a 2 week vacation on FSP and we were fighting one of the midtable French servers… I went to take south camp on my own and a zerg of about 22 players came across the water to take the camp from me… I cloak and retreat into the treeline… the zerg took the camp and then headed towards water camp with a massive tail. What followed was me taking out the back of the tail 1-2 players at a time… by the time they reached water camp there was only 8 players left.

On the same server… I was roaming solo again not bothering with TS because I only had 10 minutes to play before I had to log off… and I stumble on top of my guild’s raid that had just been wiped by a French guild raid… this was before the patch, so just by pure chance the first player I targeted in the French raid was the commander… so dropping veil I decide to do a cloaked suicide run through the middle of them… I took out the commander in a couple of hits… cloaking with decoy and then mass invisibility…. the French guild raid without their commander panics and runs away from my clones. I give chase to the bridge connecting ruins by which time my own guild had respawned and came from behind the bridge on ruins and together we finished the wipe that I started on my own.

Hunting a mesmer in Bay when we see a portal going down at watergate on the north cliff. Notice about 15 waiting to be ported up when a guildie necro throws a fear field on the portal. As they port in, they promptly get feared back into the water. Good times.

After being put in downed state, instantly rallying at 100% HP because I Leveled Up after completing my daily through finishing the “Skill Interrupter” achievement through interrupting the stomp animation with my autoattack which still had Basilisk Venom on… And then killing the guy shamelessly.

oh my god. eotm is a necromancer’s dream come true!

I got a kill on a fluke. I was losing badly against a guardian and used Spectral Walk to run away. When I jumped of the cliff (near Overlook keep) the guardian used the sword leap. I teleported back from where I started the spectral walk. The guardian forgot to cancel the leap and fell off the cliff.

It’s always extremely satisfying to knock people off of cliffs but my absolute favorite was when I was capping camps and ran into a 5 man group. I was on my engi and was dropping bombs behind me,tagging them, as I ran from them. I was traited for explosive decent so I jumped off of a cliff to escape and watched all but one of them suicide from jumping after me. The last one was easy pickings.

Fight on the western cliffside near garri, also with a hammer warrior. He broke away from the zerg to come after me, while I was defending catapults near nw tower. I saw signet of rage go up, the hammer come out, so I threw up balanced stance right when he was within range of his burst, and threw an axe.

Since I run leg specialist, cripples also immobilize, and he had already activated the stun leap when my axe went out. He immobilized in midair, froze like a statue, and dropped straight off the cliff.

I don’t think there are many things more hilarious than cliffside kills, especially accidental ones, honestly.

I think it’s the accidental ones that get me the most, cliffs or not.

Zerging around in EOTM. Someone joked that next time we saw the zerg that we had no chance of fighting, we should just jump off a cliff. We all agreed.

Next time we saw them, we all jumped off the cliff. Several of them followed.

Since then I’ve seen several incidents of one person jumping off a cliff and an enemy following. I’m guessing badly timed leap skills.

I ran off a.cliff because I new there was a very small spot you could land that would put you half way down the cliff it was ridiculously hard to land on it but I had already done it a few times anyway the pug zerg that was chasing me didn’t follow but kinda sat there stumped so I did /dance to miss them off and they ran off 1 by 1 trying to land on it, luckily as an engineer I had plenty of knockbacks to deal with anyone who managed to get lucky

All my kills are funny.

We just took our keep back (red side) when I noticed a necro outside the inner wall (that cliff towards Veloka). I stealthed up, stole fear from him and as I didn’t have mug, I was still stealthed so I casted fear and quickly followed with unload. Poor necro didn’t survive.

Own death – I was fighting someone near the south bloodlust point when enemy zerg arrived. I decided to run but the only direction was down a small wall there. The fall is small and I still had around 5k HP so woudn’t be a problem. BUT a thief managed to CnD me in mid air and I hit the ground already in a downed state. :c

Not exactly funny, though I kittened myself laughing while picking up the multitude of loot bags.

I was scouting SW Garri when I noticed Red and Blue battling it out by the sentry.. called it in map chat and my guildie called out to me to yolo through them. Not quite understanding but trusting her implicitly, I popped Plague and ran through them twice, spamming skill 1 as I did. going back in Garri, the lootbags started dropping … and dropping .. I so love being a Necro!

IDK about funniest kill but my saddest death was last night… I got “Fear Me!”’ed off a cliff my a warrior.

What was sad was I knew the cliff was there and I was going towards it, I had my stunbreaker ready and thought about using it but I was so sure I was far enough from the cliff that I wouldnt fall. I had no idea the fear lastest that long, or what he had done to extend it, but it was a real facepalm moment.

Here’s a stupid environment story that doesn’t end with anyone falling off a cliff.

I’m chasing a guardian through that river bit near the Borderlands south camp. He didn’t really fight, just bolted immediately and started using his healing/defensive stuff while I plinked at him from range. Pretty sure he was upleveled. Anyway, I down him on the river bank.

He pops his knockback bubble before I’ve even gotten close enough to initiate the stomp. This ends up aggroing three drakes.

I stand there kinda incredulously while they nibble him to death.

that’s one of my favorite ways to finish somebody. like the ice drakes near south east camp, every time i fight there, the person i’m fighting always manages to aggro them.

Yeah, Banish is one of my favourites, too. There is nothing like sending people flying off cliffs.

Was AFKing for a moment, once again near a cliff. Just as I came back I saw a thief rush towards me, he hit me before I could touch my keyboard, nightmare rune kicked in so he got feared off the cliff and died. Laziest kill I’ve had and I laughed my kitten off.

Done something like this too, but I didn’t even need to join the battle. For some reason a thief had chosen the SW gate as the spot to contest a fully upgraded borderland garrison – for any other class that’s the worst place I can think of because it’s such a long bottleneck. But that’s what stealth is for, right?
Well, without it this thief was killed by NPCs before moving two steps.

Being chased back towards a keep solo by a handful of enemy players, and then turning and finishing them off with the help of cannons and guards.

That’s what you get for being greedy.

Found an enemy zerg hiding against a wall, waiting to ambush friendly zerg in choke point. Had mesmer friend mass invis and used FGS 4 on the stack. I insta died from the retal, but killed a good 30+ of them. Not downed, fully dead.

During the tourney I was fighting a FA thief with my engie. After dropping my supply crate and turrets I made a tactical error and left the radius of the supply crate. I was bleeding away my last few hit points after he hit me with shadowstep, heal on CD and too far away from the crate to take advantage of the heals. He had shadow-stepped to the opposite side of my crate radius and in his eagerness to finish me off he ran directly at me, unstealthed, right through the center. End result netted, with half a dozen turrets on him he melted faster then I did.

Funniest kill ever? Thieves using their heal withdraw and falling off a cliff

4 lowbies tried to nuke my engineer in EOTM today. 2 went off the cliff with my launch abilities, a la overcharged shot and ultramega pelvic thrusting(personal ram) the other 2 got destroyed by my obviously impressive critical damage.

Was fighting a ranger and warrior and eventually got downed, but not before dealing substantial damage to both of them. They took to long to get to me and finish me because they decided to corpse jump me so my explosion was off cd. When they went to finish me i used it knocking them off probably a 3-4 foot ledge which i didnt think was high enough to do damage. The damage from skill 3 and the small fall was enough to insta kill both of them.
