I consider this post CLOSED. As a result of this post I have been in contact with the GH community and we have agreed to work together to help track/stop hackers. Thank you again to those in the GH community for responding.

Caught GH server hacking AG bl map per …

1. Lake Tower T2 – flipped very quickly, no siege found – 1 GH seen running from tower after flipped to GH,
2. Bay Keep T2 – 3 friendlies in bay checking walls/gates on outer as it went contested, no breach, no siege on outer, bay flips to GH
3. Briar contested T2 – one GH seen in Lords room running from tower, no breach and no siege apart from the other server starting a golem attack.

All of this happened in short succession. No way to explain this apart from GH hacking.

As a 1.5year GH player i’ve not seen eny of us hacking.
We have had our share number of Trolls makeing it kitten our side to do upgrades and such.
But a hacker flipping stuff for GH thats a first for me atleast.
Not saying what your saying isn’t true because new players new guilds come and go.
And there always people playing dirty in games.

I don’t hope your right, cause we don’t need hackers to do our jobs.
We rather take it by force.
And if there is a hacker you can be sure that GH will report them if we notice someone do it.

OP, you appear to be confused in my opinion. Server communities do not hack. Individual players do. It it not productive to call out an entire server community for a specific players actions.

If someone sees a player on your server doing something questionable, is it reasonable for them to create a thread blaming you?

Re: 1 – this was the initial observation, we passed it off as a quick flip.
Re: 2 – there were only 2 or 3 of us running around outer like headless chickens looking for siege as it had only just contested, so we weren’t paying too much attention to Lord status unfortunately,
Re: 3 – The description of the player matched that seen running from (1) after it flipped.

So it’s the combined events, which as stated occurred in short succession, that paints a potential grim picture of GH these days.

Unfortunately, the actions of one player does tarnish a server’s reputation. Servers need to be accountable for their player base and servers do set the tone as to what is acceptable and what is not.

No wonder Gunnar’s Hold was doing so well this last week….

Hacking or use of exploits is not acceptable within the GH community which you try to make it sound like it would. Don’t be a sore loser. GH has recently got a huge boost in their WvW population and I can’t be sure of what sort of people have transferred though. You are also making accusations of hacking and exploiting without having even a single person from your server to actually see it happening! One thief hiding with stealth inside a tower can flip it alone.

Please make sure you have “nearest target” keybinded on your keyboard, it will help you locate any hiding mesmers, (unstealthed)thieves and also exploiters inside of walls.

Wells it’s not rocket science to put 1 and 1 together and get to the point that it had to be hacked. Also, as noted in (3) we did see a GH player in a T2 tower with no breach – it had been upgrading for hours – so there is the witness.

I was there and I saw the person coming out of Briar at high speed, such a high speed I couldnt even target him before he was gone, and unless he had been hiding inside Briar for the past few hours without us noticing there was no way he got in as all gates and walls were up. So there is the single person from the server that saw him do it.
I dont mind losing when it is fair, but this was certainly not fair.

I don’t think I’m the one who needs to mature when you are blaming a server for supporting hacking, we have our share of Drakkar speedhacking and mesmers inside of our walls you know – oh but you don’t since GH isn’t making threads about it.

Just reported what we all witnessed this morning, if it had been DL would have done the same. Maybe you should expend your righteous indignation on your server instead of here.

When you lose you claim in forums and other gw2 communitie sites that you’re being doubletimed.

Now that you’ve got a massive income of transfers you guildblob everywhere (depressing to see all the guilds blobbing from both drakkar’s and gunnars this last week, of course some exceptions)

And now"fast caps without siege" in the morning lol, just when the wp was being finished in Bay so we had about 5 players around…

There’s nothing worse for a server that losing its own identity.

I don’t care losing, just having fun… It appears not to be the same for some servers.

As a community GH does not condone hacking in any form, never have, never will.

IF there is anyway we can find out who is responsible, we will do everything we can to ensure the individual is banned from the game.

Servers do not just have 1-2 person but more like 1-100+ hackers. Still you are correct because can not blame all of the server for their action. So if there were more reports of GH players hackers, than would need full investigation and aggresive action but so far I do not see a lot of reports of GH hackers from my investigations in other guild wars 2 forums. (maybe there are?)

Sure you have a point of HACKING is not allowed Server or not , and A PERSON has no control of onther person! , so yes all you can do is report/ take screenshots and Directly send them to Anet (DO NOT post them on the fourms) ok

You are correct~

I don’t pretend to know GH and exactly how many more people they got but they got 2 guilds (one medium, one huge) from your old server Grendal. I can certainly say that of those two guilds there are no hackers atm as WSR cracks down on them swiftly by reporting them (kinda easy when in T9 and there’s almost no-one else around to hide with) and I knew them fairly well.

It’s worth remembering that apart from reporting hackers and supplying screenshots to Anet then there’s very little that can be done. I know BT in T9 has a real problem with 2 that they can’t seem to get investigated and banned. I don’t hold it against the server though as the rest of them don’t resort to that even thought they are in such a bad place.

Perhaps in future just reaching out to GH community (or any other community there’s a problem with) and asking them to PM you about something on their server would be a better first step.

I would love to hear your brilliant explanation of how others are supposed to do anything about an individual hacker? If it is possible for a regular player or server community to do anything about it, why haven’t you solved the issue?

Dont worry, I told that naughty hacker to stop; he laughed and flew away. Job done!
