First night on Gunnar’s and i can say it was ok for now. Strange how ppl call group of 20 a zerg but in general it’s a fun… Maloki, after i get more people here would like to arrange a gvg with you and dw ;-)

seems GH is copying AMs golem “tactics” lol. We might outnumber GH during the day sometimes, but during the night the story is entirely different. Probably Yorric forgot to mention that in his kitten waving posts.

We are not copying anyone, we have done it a lot of times in the past actually.
I won’t throw any more fuel to the fire about who has more players and at what times, but we are trying what we can to gain as much points as we can at any time.
For quite some time even in our lowest point, night was our stronger period.

Quite a different picture on the map compared to weekend. Seems much more equal now, yesterday all factions take the lead and lose it again, pretty balanced i think. To the people complaining about 20 golems in the night… well Golems are very bad when there is defenders… 1 oil or cannon and say bye to all golems. Like this omega golem you built in front of briar yesterday… hmm what. 4 Arrow carts were in range, golem never got finished :O Good fights, tonight we will have a special suprise for you AM and FSP (nothing to do with golems), lets see if you find out what it is, write it here when you notice something special and weird

I was on a reasonable amount yesterday evening, entirely on the GH borderland. It seemed about teatime that FSP were taking the day off as there were hardly any of you guys around. Numbers picked up though early evening and we were on the backfoot numbers-wise at Vale/Briar/Bay (at least at the time I was playing).

However, I was quite puzzled as FSP didn’t really seem to be doing anything except running the blob between Briar and Vale without making a heavier assault on Bay. There was a treb up at Briar for a short time (before it got nuked) but by the time I logged just after 9pm UK time, there had still been no big attack. I don’t know if this changed later into the evening.

Anyone from FSP fancy a friendly duel or two? may be able to get a guildy or two involved for some 2v2/3v3 action too, I’m online evenings mostly.

Dont forget to mention within 2 hours after their Golem zerg on SM there wasnt anymore AM on the EB map :P.

Well, that’s the whole point of WvW, isn’t it? Cap points while you’re there and lose them while you’re not.
I guess by now it is obvious that AM doesn’t have the capability of fielding a sufficient number of players to compete around the clock. All we can do is compete at the times, when we are able to field nearly as many players as the other contenders. Which we did last evening. And we had a fun time and wiped a lot of zergs from both opponents. At times we even lead the income board. That this is not the case when nearly nobody is online really is not a huge surprise to me.

So, no need to get all psyched about your recapping success. PVDoor is a necessity and something I’d do too, if I played at a time when there are few defenders, but it’s not really a thing to be bragged about.

Well sometimes i get the feeling that Turkman is the one that makes the most sense at this thread:)

Heh, those were awesome. When you had one of those events in front of one of our towers, we were trying to sneak out and steal some of your fireworks. After a while i used a endless mystery tonic and was hanging around you guys (i transformed into a pig if i remember right), too bad some xaoc thieves showed up and ruined all the fun

Wouldn’t be a bad thing imo, wvw is a lot more fun when player numbers are even (as long as we’re all there at the same time ofc – us PvD during our primetime and then xaoc PvD during their’s would only change the score and not increase the fun I crave). Anyway, I look forward to seeing what GH has in store for us :-)

On another topic, I actually really enjoyed (if that’s the right word, lol) AM’s swoop on sm last night, I thought it showed real balls…and the subsequent attack on our keep was a real ‘shot in the arm’ I think we needed. Props to all at AM :-)

Really impressed with FsP’s push tonight, you hit hard and fast and were persistent. Im shocked we managed to hold Garrison. Really thought it was lost.
AM became opportunist’s and followed up behind FsP riding their glory which made things so much harder for us as the AM zerg was massive.

ah i think the surprise fell short because of the server restart :S it was supposed to be an unusual amount of a special class… kitten FSP.. whenever i get home i have to start at 0 red in EB and work my way back into the map. was a bit sad to see you go hit AM nonstop and only care a wee bit about anza after we built all those 10+ arrow carts in our inner keep and you only came once to test them :P well i like nothing better then to have a green map in EB so thanks for that =) feels just like back against Dzago, roaming and capping fun in an all-green environment, im enjoying myself.

Mostly ran solo last night, repairing and scouting and didn’t particularly encounter a lot of action (by nature of the tasks of course). Need more people on GH taking time out to repair our property after its been hit by wannabe squatters

Someone called that there was a mass push out. However people just spread out and so things went south a little.. People started dying and getting a bit confused. Anyway we will most likely keep you awake over there a bit more over the week. Bit of luck we might get some more fights like in vale!

But please do, it helps alot for our guild training if we can do it against an organized guild

Lots of fun on our border tonight. Thanks for all the attacks, they were all over the place and had to move fast. I love defending and we had to really pay attention during our guild event.

Haha yea you guys defended really well! We couldn’t get a foot hold in anywhere. You guys [DW] gave us some extremely good fights. After you wiped our group twice it was good for us to get the final wipe before we went back to defend.

Typical, we plan an attack when you guys are having an event! It was fun though. I think we both know that FSP won on the number of bags earned but we didn’t come out empty handed. I’m glad we got you at briar after wiping so many times though.

People like to say FSP rely on zergs, i’ve seen it in this thread and i’ve seen it in /m, but that’s nonsense. From what i’ve seen you guys are good players and employ good tactics, tonight was an example of that. I wish our numbers were closer in prime-time so we could have more even fights, but there’s not much either of us can do about that.

Anyway, good fights tonight. Hopefully we have more tomorrow and during the next matchup.

FS use some good tactics but it is their sheer weight of numbers in all areas and maps at the same time that results in them winning so much in this particular match-up. Why are they not in a higher tier? Please make them go away.

Well done [DW] You guys had excellent response times last night. In hind sight we should probably have built at least a golem or two to break through those reinforced gates a bit quicker. But as I like to say every wipe is a lesson learned.

We had one little unfortunate bit where we charged you across the bridge at briar and we hit lag and quite a number of us got disconnected.

BTW where were the other FSP guilds? I did not really see any of others really active last night.

In other news I must say I am enjoying the new lootbag drop rates. It’s nice to actually see your bags fill up with loot for a change

I will be putting down some mystery boxes etc down south of South Supply Camp (Heroes/Champions what ever) on GH borderland. Everyone is welcome to join the party tonight at 8pm. We can all have a nice relaxing time before reset. Maybe have a few dual/costume brawls etc there as well

I thought we had a chance of a first-hit at Hills on your borderland but we weren’t fast enough getting in. Very good response times from FSP. Also we were running as two teams but versus the numbers we were facing on hindsight we should probably have abandoned any attempt at that type of thing and just ran as one unit.

Regardless, an interesting evening’s play. There were definately a few times where FSP outplayed us (not just outnumbering, actually outplaying). But there were also some times were you got suckered good and proper too .

Thanks! Someone from FSP actually ported to AM (and EB/GH I believe) where we had our DW guild event and said they needed help at hills (then I moved map before our group to check it out to make sure DW was required). Inter-map communication is a big point we’ve been trying to improve, so big thanks to the person who spent the time to move maps to ask for help!

Our goal was actually to portal to the walls first to get a better tactical position and likely offensive siege. Unfortunately both myself and another mesmer got wiped before we could get far enough – I was in the middle of the stairs but made a split moment decision not to open portal because of AoE on me, and because I made a terrible portal a few days ago and didn’t want to wipe our entire zerg in half a second again

The commander’s plan had been to wipe your siege in lordroom with our trebuchets before moving in. But it looks like they failed to hit the right places, so he ordered a retreat to and get your siege down then push again. Unfortunately you had already killed our trebs and you wiped us before we got a second chance!

But there were also some times were you got suckered good and proper too .

Indeed! You guys can also be very good at defense when you want to, I remember our fights trying to take garrison in your borderland a few days ago. I’ve never had so much fun repeatedly wiping on the same objective! Great fun, and I’m looking forward to next week.

A big thanks to all the PRXM/SOE/others people present. Too bad some 12-year olds from FSP`s Ragnarok of Primordus -RoP (or whatever their crappy guild is called) decided to randomly attack people. Jumping on their corpses after you guys killed them was fun tho
