I understand that you “take seriously” the banning of accounts – what about taking seriously the game experience of HUNDREDS of other players who are impacted by the malicious behavior of this person? This isn’t one person’s vendetta or a small group of people complaining about someone. This is an entire server’s consistent observation of the blatant and obvious troll behavior of this one person, and for some reason his “rights” trump ours?

What more evidence do you need? You have had a GM catch him in the act. You have at this point what must be thousands of reports of his behavior. His guild name refers to his trolling activities!

Please find a way to be more proactive about this issue!

Are you stating that you have proof a GM has witnessed troll behavior from this player and refused to act? I would be interested to see evidence of this.

Pretty sure if he does have evidence of the GM and the troll in question it shouldn’t matter to anyone else on here as it would likely fall under “naming and shaming”. Otherwise it wouldn’t be considered proof.

Yes, it was very widely known and discussed on TC when this player was given a two-week suspension for his behavior directly in front of a GM. Proheals mentions it on page 1 of this thread:

“Gus suspended the account. I believe it was for two weeks. They were caught placing irrelevant siege to block placement of legitimate siege. We also saw their placement of 50 or so siege as well as ‘stacking’ interact objects (plates of food, for example).

If they violate again the accounts held by them will be terminated."

Note that last sentence. He has been ever more boldly violating again since his return… so we’re waiting for the promised follow-through.

Edit: Sorry, misread you. No, it’s not that a GM refused to act when it happened in front of them. It’s that when he is on, doing his thing, we have all of our players on reporting as botting as directed to get a GM there to see and stop him, and no one shows up, and he continues his behavior, and is there again day after day after day.

It’s very demoralizing to be outmanned and outresourced and have someone on your “side” that you can do absolutely nothing to or about and have them sabotaging what few resources you have.

Personally Im at a point of being done, how one person is allowed to grief a whole server and gets a 2week ban and is now back to doing it all over again after being promised that this account would be watched closely.

As of right now, I couldn’t care less about his rights to play as he wants, since those rights infringe on the whole community, and we want this to stop. If you wont ban him, then at the very least stop him being able to use supply, claim anything or use siege, if he wants to be the village idiot, can we at least treat him like one.

I’m waiting for this sentence, too. It would be a nice little surprise for them to try and log in only to have their troll account banned, have them shrug, then go to their main account and find that one has been banned as well. Then the tears flow.

Though last time I asked about deciphering and having multiple accounts banned they seemed really hush hush, so not sure if that’s just a bluff or what.

The infamous TC troll had claimed EB keep for the past 1 day and 20 hours until the JQ blob took it. No buffs on keep.

He does that all the time. This is not an honest mistake.

There have been numerous screenshots of this guy doing a variety things, but Anet is excessively tolerant to a point that they are enabling the siege troll. People essentially have given up submitting reports due to lack of faith in Anet doing anything. Lets call the phenomenon “siege toll reporting fatigue syndrome”. And with such weak enforcement and $10 accounts, we will continue to see such nonsense.

Essentially, Anet is an enable of psychopathic behavior due to their excessively tolerant attitude and their decision to treat this as a capital murder trial
allowing lengthy appeals and in addition requiring what seems to be a near impossible burden of proof on the player base. The very name of his guild illustrates how he thumbs his nose at Anet and is evidence of how he takes the view that their efforts at enforcement are worthy of ridicule.

There has been some minor discussion among the WvW player base of a gems boycott, but it is only that at present.

Some of those “trolls” are on a, more or less anyway, timer. So GM’s just have to ask and there’s plenty of players who can point you in the proper direction on when, where and so on.

Having GM’s in WvW is the greatest change since ever. Kudos to Anet for that!

The WvW is still in dire need of rebirth, to avoid a certain death; not a 2nd EoTM style fiasco, foreshadowed in the news about a less open field fight and more siege/choke focus in the upcoming expansion. Small changes made by those who understand why those who play log in would be more helpful than trying wildly risky new ways by those who have no time to get involved. Anet needs people “on the ground”, so the disconnect can stop. Hackers are top priority, nice to see solved or properly addressed — but unless they log in and play, not just visit a few minutes, but start to understand what is liked and why, and what not; WvW won’t get better. A bit late for that already, maybe for the next game or in another life: play your own game (long enough to understand it) or have people who plays it in the team.

Just a heads up in case you see the character GM Proheals doing any of the following:

*appearing/disappearing
*teleporting
*running really fast
*not dying
*moving players – very unlikely but I know if I don’t include it….
*changing teams (friendly to enemy at will)

You should not see me doing any of the following:

*fighting back / fighting npc characters
*standing in unclaimed land
*reviving players
*using siege and supply

Time for a way to get GM’s attention in real time, not a day later when its all over.

We have a keep full of balisters, over 50 people have reported the same siege troll that has been a thorn in our side for over 2 years, short bans havent worked, his still there laughing and we still have no way of contacting anyone quickly enough to get this resolved. This is now… its quicker to gripe here than getting help when you need it.

Report for botting? how long before someone takes notice,
Send in screenshots? Again how long before someone actually reads the emails.
Log out since this isnt fun – instant.

After lots of dev posting because of the pre-order debacle, they seem to be back to their usual non-communication policy.

Maybe we should necro up more of these posts with the red tag just so it looks like the WvW forum is still occasionally visited by staff.

Please get back to monitoring WvW grievance reports. Its obvious that someone has been out of town and/or busy. We need someone to look at “botting” reports in real time. Thank you

Monumental incompetence regarding siege trolls by the devs as it is unbelievable that the TC siege troll still has an account. Hopefully the new system will avoid most of the problems, but with less supply overall, things could actually be worse.

Another reason to take a “wait and see” attitude towards the expansion.

Why doesn’t Anet invest into a real forum system for their players?

Because they’d rather put the resources into other areas?

ok, so how do I report an active siege troll on JQ BL??? TC just tried to Golem rush Garri and failed. Then they flipped NW tower and now a siege troll has burned 1300 supply on building trebs at the supply sheds inside Garri. Would like to know how to report this.

Take video. In your video show right-clicking on the player and reporting him for botting while filming his siege trolling. That helps quickly associating a game id. Also helps to have the time displayed in the mini-map or chat box. Send into exploits@arena.net and also post about it here (don’t have to post video since that risks you an infraction apparently but it does generate a lot of attention).

Can we get a “GM Fix WvW will be running around WvW randomly fixing WvW”?
