About Xaoc: I welcome them. It’s nice to have another organized guild on the server. I spoke to them on TS and they’re really nice people. You can speculate about them leaving all you want, but in the end they’ll be our allies, so stop being so negative. Some revenge for the 40vs10 on our own borders all the time is in place imo, and Xaoc might be the answer to that.

Dont know if culling was hiding the rediculous numbers previously but the blobs tonight were completely absurd.
How anyone can willingly take part in that is beyond me

It’s the WXP trains. Big blobs kill people, take keeps and towers, and WXP is passed around like candy.

The blobs are definitely far larger than before the update.

There must have been 70+ AG’s infront of our bay tonight.
We probabaly killed about 20 in the initial stages but still easily 50+ streamed inside from portals and trough the gate.
Was horrible really, skills didn’t work at all.

So umm… pretty sure they lifted the population cap per server a fair amount.

We had great fun on EBG – 60-70 proper zergs were on every server, we were guilty okitteno count theirs, but hey, this is Eternal… went pretty well as our blob destroyed every other blob with ease, XxX were there as well helping out a lot… think highlights of the evening were capping a literally just taken Tower, Wildcreek, after wiping FSP at the lord room after they took it when we’d taken the wall down from Rogues, it was AG’s when FSP got in through our breach, whilst we took out about 30-40 of them that came from dredge mine, very fun was that.

The other most fun of the evening was SM – we didn’t think we’d make it as AG were I the Lord Room, but we decided to go and hailed ourselves in, then played the waiting game after charging in and wiping a lot initially. We barracaded ourselves on the second floor with 3 Ballistae, killed the FS blob who returned quickly, and then spent ages buffing and weaving in and out, around and through both groups, wiping many of them and knocking down all in our path, and we’re content to continue doing so, but XxX turned up to hold off more FS from South – we charged for the lord having wiped AG in the corridor and focussing the lord, capping it subsequently.

It’s quite fun to have battles on that scale as it feels like a proper battle, even though in my opinion the skill is slightly less and I hate it when it’s not all servers doing the same thing; if all are on a level playing field number wise I can handle it though.

Good to fight both of you today FS, AG, maybe SM was less fun for you guys, but you just need to get some tactics and banter in there – we were going on about the Olympics all through that fight Very fun leading today, and man thnx to all of the discipline and and courage of the Infantry that followed me, rather impressed at the intuitiveness there

We will have zergs on every server like that guys – the big WvW patch = all the PvE dudes coming in toting Legendary and ascended gear, all of the old WvWers returning thinking stacking up and turtling is still the best strategy this will take some getting used to!

Pity its basically impossible to have fun when the only thing on a map is a 70 man zerg

Wasn’t happening on all sides dius flat out refused to blob up tonight and were running about with 15 guys. Running was about the extent of what we did though

Yeah Ironvos. Was aimed for all three servers Hopefully it was just a one time thing cause those numbers will kill this match up. Dius had 12 – 16 people running around. We had some fun and enjoyed that we could see stuff now. Could plan ahead of every charge or incoming attack. Still. Some numbers are just not doable :p

You now can see what numbers the opponents run around with, and you don’t feel safe until you have found a similar-sized group of your own

Poor guys in T1 actually, even more blobbing than usual there i guess

I hardly think blobs are bigger there. The only thing missing from blobs on FSB was a dolyak and 3 quaggans

Props to Anet, they really did amazing this time (think they did amazing every time, because this is the best MMORPG around) , battles are so much more fun when you can see every single enemy! Also my FPS lag decreased after this update and I almost didn´t have any skill-lag in FSP border! (only when we were about to break into bay while Gandara was at hills) Also the wxp is a nice new twist to the entire story, I don’t really mind the ‘buffs’ you can get, I just want the awesome titles ^^.

Yeah were surprised ourselves at the sheer number of people we had! We were like “Where’d all these people come from?!”

I think this update has brought a lot of people into WvW both from PvE and those who stopped playing WvW due to the culling, in order to see how it is like now.

Some players just go ahead and ruin everybody’s fun. A guardian and ranger from guild Army of Albion [AoA] repeatedly passed through the gate at Sunnyhill during Far Shiverpeak attack on it at Gandara Borderland right now.

I was that ranger, we we’re ramming Sunnyhill and I was using a greatsword to help damage, using skills and whatnot, then whatyaknow I was inside that tower, if you we’re inside you saw me jumping off of it. When it hapened the second time I acted on instinct, saw an enemie and tried to kill . 1 – It was unintentional. 2 – If there’s any shame to be had it should be to those gate designers who aparently oil it enough that two norns are able to slip through.

Aye the blobs are insane atm.
Start off on a smaller scale, all of a sudden there was about 90 fsp smashing into bay as well. lol.
Meant to do anything you had to counter their numbers. It was absolutely insane. But least you could see things and try to react.

Was some good larger scale fights even though not my main focus. Was fun just awhile ago at north east gandara supply camp when you had all the trebs up. Fury smashed into you, distracted and then kiss and some of us others smashed into your flank. Was a massacre.

Thanks for the magic find bonfire as well. We put it to good use

I find it way more ridiculous to now see how those leet guildzergs move around like a herd of scared chickens without a mind of their own, they just rely on full boonstacks and hack away with autoattack. Now that is boring.
You XxX may be fancy when you run with 15, but when i see some of you in a pugzerg you go down just as fast as any other guy.

no,im showing how ALL was playing,nothing changed really,before the patch was the same but cant see them all,im only asking if u all really enjoy play like that.
I think is the time to find a new server with a different tier where we can find some fight and no that kitten all the time.

So if nothing changed, except the fact that you can see them now, what makes it so different than last week?
If you don’t like big zergs then don’t go on EB during primetime, maybe the fact that it has a que should give you a hint that a small scale battle with another guild will be rare.

I don’t run with the zerg often, im a scout, but when i do i actually enjoy it, because if i don’t i go do something else. Not everyone enjoys spending their casual gametime on TS activating the skills the commander tell you to and having to follow thesame group constantly.

That Video clip was showing how all sides blobbed up tonight, not sure why you getting offended since alot of the action in that clip was XxX just really running around showing people how it looked and really some of those larger groups…. that has to be the whole map in one blob.

And Nem, block chat off next time please, nothing worse than seeing trolling in map chat…. (innocent)

I realy don’t get how so much people group up and enjoy playing like that… If you’re in a guild and you see such a zerg, isn’t your first reaction: “right, nothing we can do there, let’s move away and try and take something else” ?? Your not only ruining a fine game for yourself but also for the people you’re playing against. It’s not something to brag about and how you scout for such a blob.
And if I get this straight Ironvos, or you group up with everyone or you go do something else?

Loving the patch. Fought the blobs and zergs from day 1. Knew the size of them but could never prove it as only 25-30 would “cull” on screen at any given time. Now its even better for me personally. Can see you all. No more running into 30+ invis’o’fools and losing my HP to the invis’o’zergs.

No hiding now, and it makes no difference to our enemies as TUP has never run over 30. Was only 16 yesterday evening of us.

Yak’BUS I hope you enjoyed the stern defence of your Hills. Alas only 3 TUP got to enjoy the crazy action in outer hills. Althou i’m sure the unity and kiss guys were glad to keep ya out repeatedly. The big sexy white Norn leader, props for trying to get your guys to kill my treb.

On an innocent wander to help out my bro kill a dolly and 3 guys, we stumbled upon 5? Golems and their escort. Really wanted you to bring them to hills – sadpanda.

Looking forward to much more action in the week ahead, fingers crossed AG beat FSP.

Well I was looking forward to this patch but have been left bitterly disappointed will see how it goes over the next few days but I may jack this game in. Yes culling is fixed, great it was working very well.

However the downsides

WvWexp is currently creating a zerg megabus.
Crappy Armour and skins for badges
Armour that I already have for badges
Progression is not what I had hoped just generic boosts to siege use. Nothing to do with real character progression.
Those name tags!!!!!! Ahhhhhh my screen was just a sea of red or blue last night the tags have to go.

Culling aside not found another thing yet that has made my want to log in. Will see how it is when I get home from work this evening…..

“Creating a zerg megabus” disagree. They existed before for many if not all servers. Some people are sheep, follow blindly, safety in numbers kinda attitude.

Who plays WvW for progression/skins? Play it for the fun, the enjoyment of smushing one’s foes into nothing but bone and ash.

The titles need to go, see of red names is bad enough but ugh the titles!

the pve-ers are crawling out of the woodwork man.
I`ll take a short break until they realize that the new wvw abilities dont work in pve and they move on to picking carrots and farming Claw of Jormag

Well we fought FSP last week, and I can tell that FSP was nothing compared what we face vs Baruch now. Baruch got some reinforcements as they posted this in our own topic. Will be interesting to watch your tier in next week. Anyway gl to you all and Aurora, we are awayiting you :P (if we actually manage to stay in that tier)

It happends in all games…. If you play with friends on TS with coordiantion its much more better than play in pugs without comunication… Come on dude!

AG fought Baruch Bay for the past several weeks.

The zergs were a shock for the first week, but you just have to learn how to build an endless amount of arrow carts to slow them down and maneuver the blob as you wish by capping all the undefended stuff they have. Even 1 person can do it. Make it an unpleasant experience for them and the PvE farmers will leave the ranks, leaving only the WvW core group to deal with.

Achievement titles definitely need to go, and even the names should be faded out at certain distance. Right now I’m looking at a sea of red names while hardly making out the action.

When you passed through the door first time it was an accident – when you did it second time and did what you did (finish a defender, attack the NPC) you were exploiting.

The big problem, of course, is the unbearable lag that such large scale battles produces and, ultimately, kills any hope of having a proper, fun fight.

Sadly, even a dedicated ‘peaker like me, could be tempted by the idea of a free transfer to a lower tier server where, I assume, lag isn’t such a problem.

I have a feeling they have increased the number of people that any server can have on a map. Seeing everybody in enemy blob is one thing but I’m quite sure I haven’t seen so many green dots on mini-map before the patch…

I had some skill lag but not all the time so I hope it won’t occur much any more.

Maybe they just fixed the previous issue with people not being able to get on the map. While also breaking the queue.. heh..

Now that’s fixed tho.

Still loving this match up btw! very tight and close. I think we’re all going to be fighting tooth and nail till Friday, ey?

To [DYE] – I have never experienced a BLOB like you, if you ever fancy a fight where we have equal numbers, then get in touch. But you are making it very boring on AG right now.

DYE blob? Just call it a Gandara blob then.. They took garisson in a ninja attack by themselves while we kept ya busy at our spawn tower. Only after that, randoms joined and turned it into a blob.

But why does it still matter? Every servers seems to be blobbing like crazy. Far Shiverpeak are the biggest offenders.
