Its quite simple. the last few nights as soon as you run into any opposition(minimal mostly) you tuck tail and map hop to find that unguard door. Sorry I didn’t stay to sacrifice more cata blueprints to help feed your self-image as the valiant defenders. We ended up getting fights on your borderlands against FSP and AG players who were willing to do more than sit inside a tower. Counter-golem golem portal bomb for kittens and giggles, I probably won’t be trying that tactic again.

Well said. If a catapult attack is counteracted then a treb attack is the next logical step in tower offense. It’s up to the defenders of said tower to then counteract the treb attack. This is how WvW works and why all these modes of offense and defence exist.

I think they were just disappointed that we didn’t all rush in and get destroyed by their wall of balistas and instead did the clever thing and trebbed them down after identifying where all the siege was placed. After all, it’s hardly fun for us to get destroyed by a wall of siege.

I admire your determination but I ranked from 2—>5 just from you guys at Bay ;P I can’t believe it’s taken so many so long… maybe spread out a bit more FSP and you might just get somewhere faster ;P

Since you are new to this tier you don’t know yet, but AG isnt pushed into 4am zerging. AGs primetime just starts later than your server. It’s nothing new and especially not for you guys.

On the Mesmer porting, I got a pm stating he was there, and rounded up ppl for a laugh, not like we would keep that Keep.
Took enough of you to kill us though, and bought us some time as a bonus.

Really still? Was disappointed you left your borderland without fighting us, could of easily rebuilt cata’s as you took down our siege on wall but you guys wanted to easymode it instead simples. That is what a siege is… you starve objective of supply and knock a entrance down, we had no manpower and no supply left… you went to pve Whatever floats your boat.

The siege was built there as a last stand, I mean if one guy can have a good go vs them im sure with his 20+ supporting him wouldn’t of been one sided in our favour.

So much fail trolling from some of gandara again, I thought the culling fix would of made people a bit more honest on these forums instead of drama kittens

While FSP was in the lower tiers we rarely had anything near a blob. We ran in 30ppl zergs + striketeams allover the map, we could do this cause we faced similar pugzergs.
Most of our guilds ran in 10-15ppl groups around the map.

no I don’t expect you to field 30pugs Vs 30 man guild groups but when your zerg is mainly [Kale] and [TTN/TNN] (Guilds might I add) against our Pugs, I do expect them to split a little. I mean.. that zerg was ridiculous :P

Also we have 2 guilds which only field 30 if they’re very very lucky. Otherwise it’s all 10-15 with 20 normally being the max ;P

Can’t wait for the next PvE dungeon and all the Dungeoners go back to PvE! ;P

And we always will even if all the other guilds have stopped….. Seems that all servers have devolved into pathetic zergling blobs, and it seems maybe FSP have the advantage in that regard as they’ve been practising it.
Makes for a kind of boring night when you’re only running 10. Even when we had to resort to abusing leg specialist on an AC half of you guys still run through without getting affected, kinda pathetic.

If what you considered to see was an exploit in game report it through correct channels and let Anet decide please don’t go bringing it to this thread. As soon as 1 person brings it up it gets dragged on for ages and turns ugly.

As for the blob situation AG and Gandara must be telling us porky pies, we are all guilty of it, many of times i have seen you guys and thought “WOW thats one big blobby blob.”

Regardless of end scores i have had a great time this week. I would like to see us not get dropped, but even if we do its been a learning curve and at least we have had a taste of you guys at ur current standard and vice vesrsa.

Oh and 1 last thing, at start of this thread people we saying we put up too much defence, over sieged tower/keeps and fighting from behind walls and scouts around every corner (probably aimed at bay on our BL being attacked from all angles for hours early in the match up and pushed everyone out numerous times.) It was pretty dam hard for you to take anything we didn’t want you to have from us, and then came the WvW update, the real blame for the blob. So next time someone says “I blame FSP they are forcing us to blob up.” Just remember we played a different game before WvW update, so perhaps you would also think that we are feeling forced to blob to counter your blobs.

Set your mind back a few days or turn back to the beginning of this thread, we played a very different game at start match. FSP wasnt to blame for the blobbing up, the update was, and we are all countering each other, we are ALL guilty for letting the update change our gameplay.

For a pug server we are very good and yes we deserve to be in this tier. FSP we got 1 day left to show them how it really would have turned out prior to all of us getting consumed with this kittening blob thing, lets pull our fingers out and get down ur local DIY store, buy blue paint and throw it all over their BL’s like they have BOTH done to ours since update. Lets show these kitteners(please take no offence lol) that we aint got loads of huge wvw guilds and yes we are pugs but we are FSP and we are here to stay!!!

You’re keeping up with this story? Okay, then I’m honestly disappointed that none of TUP came to fight us at AG borderlands, especially when it was only 4 of us defending your garrison. Your guys couldn’t take it even though FSP was keeping us busy at the water gate and you already had the inner west gate down. Redlake was a done deal, once the trebs went up there was nothing left for our group to do so we figured we should move to the next map and and just clean up the tower when the wall was down… which we did.

By the way esteemed Raid Leader, you should really learn to count. I know it might damage your ego when you realize it’s only 52 players and not 53, but it’ll help your group to be more effective if you know how many you’re facing. Tip from a PvE carebear: pets aren’t people.

Oh sure we are all blobbing and I wont deny it, and sure again it was the update that changed our style of play but for tonights stupid Zerg fest it was FSP’s fault. beforehand, we were all spread out having our selves small fights but then BAM 60 people all up in our grills. The idea on Gandara is to try and play separate as much as possible still but that’s hard to do when the servers against are literally playing with their entire server in one spot. <—- Only counter to that? ridiculous amount of siege and a massive blob of our own! I don’t even get how you guys enjoy that with all the Lag :/

I also know how you feel as a Pug server, Gandara was like that too not so long ago, but put it this way, if you feel we’re a guild server, wait until you fight Piken.

Why are you trying to dictate how everyone should play in WvW? You kept on rushing our catapults and building counter-catas, so instead of us wasting more blueprints we decided to treb the wall down. You guys actually came to the keep and destroyed one of our trebuchets on our wall which was a good move and probably the best reactive thing for you to do in your situation. WvW battles never play out how you expect because everyone is attempting to achieve and do different things. Instead of condemning entire groups of people for “not being fun” maybe you should try and empathise with your opposition and understand why the encounter played out in the way it did. After all, WvW battles rarely play out in a linear fashion. Also, calling people out for trolling and being drama queens is rude and unneeded, especially when the source of said drama originated from the accuser.

Anyway, I agree, let’s move on. Was good fun holding off the AG steam train punching through our towers in EB in the early hours of this morning. Must put up more Arrow-carts for you tomorrow :-p

No Wicked Im saying that we as all three servers should be promoting a less than 60 person blob. The one you had earlier was literally ridiculous. Again I never said we didn’t blob only that you started it on this specific evening. I suppose what I’m trying to highlight is that so long as one server blobs the others will too. Which makes me sad panda as the small scale combat is the best. But it takes the guilds of all the servers to promote this. Kale for instance had plenty by themselves to siege elsewhere while say the Pugs lay siege Bay for example and that’s what I really didn’t understand. Why all attack the same place like that with ALL the people on the map and have a cruddy experience due to the massive lag and such?

Now don’t get me wrong, sometimes it’s an unavoidable escalation but this time specifically, it wasn’t.

I might sound QQ’y but actually I’m happy, I caught up with my guildies in terms of rank in only one night ;P But that laggy playstyle thats being promoted makes me, and most likely lots of others, sad pandas.

What about reset specifically when all we saw was FURY + Kiss together? Im sure many other people who don’t post here could bring up many many more accounts.

I actually enjoyed it today. It took them like 2 or even sometimes 3 wipes until they lit up the bat-signal to get them all to one spot.

I do not really care for who started the blob and who did not. And there is already a small zerg nerf in the game cause it seems like the general IQ level of a player decreases when running in a group above 30 people. The urge for tagging becomes greater than the actual use of skills in a fight resulting in open air sword swings and ranged not noticing people hitting them because they have to use. WAT? Y U HIT ME WHEN I DO METEOR SHOWER GO AWAI!!

Kinky’s getting confuzzled. He meant Hills in Gandara, where you were most certainly grouping up with rddt and pugs (see attachment), and not just “the only time we can be seen running with other AG guilds is when co-ordinating ambushes/traps. E.g. Faithleap”

I’m not saying this make FURY “bad”, you’re actually one of the guilds I have most respect for on AG. Blobbing happens from time to time, sometimes by accident, and is sometimes neccesary. What does get on my, and other gandaran’s, nerves is when people claim “oh, well we never blob up, it’s just you guys”, and I think that’s what Kinky was getting at. That, and trolling. Dius tries hard not to blob and to seek out smaller scale fights, but it does sometimes happen that we’re fighting alongside the blob. I think that goes for most guilds.

Got to say, the sheer number of AG in their blobs at 1am was astonishing. Grats on taking Hills on FSP BL, not a lot we could do in the end against that number of players- but it was great fun trying!

Blobs/zergs, call them what you will, are going to happen in wvw and we all do it, so let’s just enjoy the fun of having so many bags dropping.

Loving this match up, although it’s hard to decide which class to play atm as playing ranger feels like I’m not really helping- so far made rank levels on 5 different toons, as given up on aiming for anything with ranks as i like playing different classes.

Can we just discount whatever Xiao says as incessant swearing and meaningless insults? Tbh I don’t think he actually plays WvW, his keyboard warrior skills are so honed that he couldn’t possibly waste time on trivial things like the game, when he could be out practicing…

The pictures speaks for them self how fun the night have been… We did get some of the “monster blobs” down sometimes even if we only had 15-25 man small “zerg”..

logged out a couple hours ago but had some interesting fights. Lost some, won some. Was a lot of blobbing but we tried to work around that. Yes Fury, Reddit and Kiss (small LoE party with kiss too as we work with them alot) worked together but often went own way until needed to join up.
Even when we joined up we tried to not just be a big blob. loved looking at the map to see 3 commanders staggered with their own personal followers. One group pulled off and got the majority of the attention, the others run flanking movement and crushed the enemy between the sets.

Would like to thank YAK. You were one of the few guilds that I recognise as also trying to keep things smaller scale when possible. Yes you are willing to blob up (like everyone) but only when you deem to have no choice.

Almost got my ele to 80 now. Done nothing but WvW on him starting 11 days ago. It has been a great experience this week compared to last week and has helped me to refine my positioning in fights greatly. When you fighting KISS and find half your zerg stunned by a staff Ele then wave to the LoE member. I actually finding great pleasure in stunning and splitting the enemy in that manner, especially just as they run through a Veil for stealth ;D
Mind you, that could be because part of my "WvW level challenge was to only use drops I personally recieve or manage to get from using the mystic forge (again only using the drops i get) meant my damage and survivability is poor so running in a manner that aids the group before i leech of downed people is more benefical.

Now i got to seriously think if I will play my main (mesmer, commander and now on a new spec) which I am well trained in portal movement with), my necro which is great for marking enemy portals before they pop through and whom is a complete kittenty thing!, or the elementalist which we actually seem to lack on the server a lot.

no I don’t expect you to field 30pugs Vs 30 man guild groups but when your zerg is mainly [Kale] and [TTN/TNN] (Guilds might I add) against our Pugs, I do expect them to split a little. I mean.. that zerg was ridiculous :P

Also we have 2 guilds which only field 30 if they’re very very lucky. Otherwise it’s all 10-15 with 20 normally being the max ;P

Can’t wait for the next PvE dungeon and all the Dungeoners go back to PvE! ;P

We are between 20 and 25max and usually we go alone, we may have some Italian allies from GoD or SIGH and the occasional pug with us, rarely our platoon is above 30.

We basically hate pug blobs.

We like to roam, take an objective and, for sure, stomp enemies zerg, I hate when they rotflstomp us.

Can you honestly stop blaming it all on us.
It has been said multiple times already that EVERYONE blobs.

I know most of the gandara and AG leet guilds probably look down on our server cause we are mainly pugs, and you expect to win engagements by default, and if you don’t you blame it on being outmanned.
The reason why we still have even scores is not cause we outman, outblob or pvd you, it’s cause your guilds are too focused on open field battles and collecting lootbags, wasting their time basically.
Those guilds make a lot of mistakes when it comes to sieges and usually also underestimate pugzergs and are very careless.

If you want to make a blob split up, go attack multiple targets at once.
If the blob remains it will not be able to defend everything and loose targets and points very quickly, if they do split up your goal is achieved.
See it’s that simple.

who really care about be first or second?no reward at all,only a swap from +1 tier -1 tier,be first mean only the server have nightcap/blob/and many ppl on 24/7 nothing more no tactics at all,daoc require tactics to take relic and hold them and this before new frontier.

open field battle is the only good thing this game have,someone enjoy it and MANY other enjoy pve on door/guard,who really care about point ?

Me & The Bird looked after our precious bay for the glade despite numerous attacks from FSP & a cheeky poke from gandara at one point too on south gate :P

You threw everything and the kitchen sink at bay but still it stood strong… Thanks to our allies tonight for fast reactions and assistance. Lost count of the amount of attacks on bay tonight, and that one where you had everyone and their mother from FSP on the north plateau was very nice

Surprised and disappointed you FSP guys logged off though after the latest failed attempt on inner bay you went from 25 guys down to one defender in next to no time.

Ps. Tally my number counting is pretty fine mate, but if you want to rib me for my sense of direction then that is fair enough as my guild do after the other day it had a lot to be desired but it still worked out… they knew what I meant hahaha

The fight to decide who has the smallest blob is just ridiculous (but I have to say that see the YaKslappers complaining about the zerg is just lol), the reality is that ALL three servers like to use huge blob. FSP, Gandara, Aurora Glade is simply irrelevant.

If it wasn’t for the horrible skill lag, most people wouldn’t care so much.

Some of those 3-server mega fights at Hills or Bay have been been pretty intense. Fun but frustrating. It’s like one of those dreams where no matter how hard you try you just can’t do anything productive.

Props to TNN grp last night , you had 20ish i think and you were the first guild grp from fsp that i saw not runing with ze blob, good response time when you saw our inc both on camp and on briar , we had about 8 ppl at the camp , and at briar had couple Dius there as well.

Since forums are all about blobs i got a question.

How is it fun for you guys to run those “blobs” and inflict lagg , skill delay upon yoursleves and your enemys?

AG seems like a diferent server this match up as well ……

What happent to those 10-20 man Furry grps that we used to meet and clash?

Im actually enjoying the matchup much more than the last few weeks. And I have respect for Gan and FSP. And Im even from Fury and I bring love not hate! Everyone have fun!

I’m not sure when you are referring to, but I’m sure it was out of pity.

But for real, we have no qualms about fighting or wiping, especially in small group play. So I would assume we got called to help elsewhere or something. Was this during primetime?

It got so bad in SM last night for skill lag I grabbed my warrior and had a blast – for some reason it seems I can use more skills on a melee toon than any channelled or ranged skill when skill lag comes along.

Oh well, 7 months to fix culling, guess another 7 to wait for skill lag to be fixed, and then they might start on all the other issues…
