Alright. Confused again. /rage When in WvW they dont give you the basic gear you get in structured pvp. Will I be fine in my new characters gear or would i need to do something more? I read through the FAQ thing they had posted and didnt really see anything on it besides someone saying new players should be fine so i guess i’m just looking for confirmation.

Your pve gear is your WvW gear. As a new toon, you will be updated to 80. However your gear will not be, ie you will be stuck with your 1-2 stat gear against people with final gear and runes. Will that ruin your wvw experience? – Probably not. Will your gear be on par with that of people around you? – Maybe not.

You won’t be winning any 1v1s, but you can still support your team, carry supply, use siege, etc.

Well i’m an elementalist. so i guess i should be going water form and healing/casting vulnerability on whoever i can? adding up damage and healing the team?

You’ll probably want to avoid d/d as well until you’re geared.

Well i found a pretty large group and joined it. just tooken two camps. Going well so far lolz What’s d/d?

Dagger dagger is d/d. You would probably be better off with staff until later on. And then, mainly combo fields and healing your teammates. Don’t expect to kill much of anything.

Run naked. No repair bills.

dagger/dagger – Staff is more viable for supporting people from ranged, especially at low levels. D/D doesn’t come into it’s own until you have traits/gear to make it really shine.

Also, keep a focus on hands at all times in WvW – Focus 4 in Air blocks projectiles (Most notably trebuchet shots, so you can protect walls and siege from being trebbed.)
