Hello…
Am I doing something wrong or the PvE gear is intented to be damaged during WvW? I’m not filthy rich at the moment, so 1-2 silver on each death is kind of silly.
Unless there’s a proper WvW gear? I’vent done yet PvP so not quite sure if I can even use the gear in WvW(and if its still takes damage)
And something else – badges should be accumulated automaticly, loot bags are hard enough to spot on the ground with the whole chaos going on around.

Your gear takes damage when you die. Doesn’t matter if it came from pve or wvw, (or if you die in pve or wvw) it takes damage when you die. Generally if you’re getting kill credit and picking up your bags before dying you make more than enough to pay for your repairs (1-2 silver is like 3-4 loot bags tops at 80).

Yup. We’ve been asking for this pretty much since BWE 1. Don’t hold your breath. :/

I made a profit of a little over 1.5g on today’s WvW session. Your gear is only damaged if you die. Kill stuff and don’t die is the moral of the story.
If you are running solo you are going to want to either gear defensively or trait defensively. The more offensive your gear/traits the less margin for error you have.

And as a ranger I’m probably missing at least 50% of my bags or sometimes get wiped out before I can even go to the dead body. Maybe I should reroll melee class >.<

Bags don’t spawn on the dead bodies, they spawn at your feet.

That’s your first mistake. :P

On a serious note, as much as I like my Ranger, at a point where I was strapped for cash playing her was making it worse, yeah sure I killed people while roaming around but getting away from ganks (that were sometimes invisible) was futile for the most part. Mediocre damage and clunky dumb pets don’t help either.

The only time your gear doesn’t take damage is from falling deaths.

Bags don’t spawn on the dead bodies, they spawn at your feet.

Oh lawl… I’ve never noticed really. Anyway as ranger I try to move constantly so I can deal damage from sides and behind, maybe that’s why I’m loosing track of the bodies.

Ikr. Almost always get killed by thieves with 3-4 attacks. Makes me feel like I’m again mage in WoW where goblin rogues kill me that fast. XD

Once you get better gear, you’ll find your survivability go up against thieves dramatically. That, and most thieves seem to target characters who have been upleveled to 80.

Press CTRL to see all the loot bags on the ground.

Yeah the whole loot bag mini game sucks. Always has. As you pointed out if you are moving, you can easily move past where the bag spawns and never even see it. I usually end up running in circles. I’m sure the other side is watching thinking I’m drunk.

Press CTRL, it shows Loot Bags from a pretty far distance. You’ll know exactly where they are.

Also make sure that you are participating when camps, towers, etc. are taken. Gives you a steady income (if you / your team is successful).
At first my balance between income and spending was more or less even, but it increased steadily. Now with the increase in loot-bags it should be easier to find the “break-even point” and actually make a buck or two… :-)

Don’t forget to pick up your lootbags and you’ll never be in a situation where you can’t repair

I’m in some kind of metronomic pick up bags zone now, they drop like confetti at times, and ‘F’ seems to be my most spammed button barring the space bar (jump jump jump jump jump).
