Guild Wars 2

I think I saw another post about this somewhere? I just witnessed it first hand today, though. I’m in EBG looking at the map to see where my other guild mates are that haven’t /squadjoin yet. I notice one yellow dot in the keep, mouse over it and see that
“…isn’t in the same map instance.” comment. ??? I saw another yellow dot, moused over it and didn’t get that message. Went back to the first yellow dot in the keep, “…isn’t in the same map instance.” (or whatever it said, don’t remember exact wording)

Could this mean that guild mate is an incognito Dev using some backdoor Matrix voodoo?

Could this be the horror of something under development that hasn’t been turned on yet, revealed by a bug?

Edit: It was the minimap I was looking at and mousing over.

Or he play with his online status as invisible

I see this happen all the time. Yellow dots are not as bright and it does say player is in another instance of this map.

It’s a bug. I saw that with a guildie…ran to his location and, lo and behold, he was there – even though the tooltip said he was “in another instance”.

Whew, that’s good to know. I’m a little less paranoid now.
