The whole reason I bought the plain Hero’s weapons was because I was under the impression that it would take 250 badges to get a Gift of Heroes. But under the current system, players are punished for trying to craft the Mistforged Hero’s weapons because no matter what, you still need 300 total tickets, AND an additional one gold, AND crystalline dust.

states that 250 Badges of honor would be used to buy the gift as well.

um, it shows that it can be purchased for 200 tickets + 250 badges, looks like you misread.

And anet later decided to drop the badge requirement – just tix now

Even so, it isn’t that way in the game. SO what was the point, and is this going to change? Where does it say AND/OR anyway? Im looking for a dev’s response to what happened to what they said and is it going to change? Because consistency matters.

Point was some places (6-9) would not have had enough for mist forged. Hero weapon now to upgrade to mist forged after s3 was the original reason.

Of course with the reward screw up, everyone got the extra 100 tix so all can afford the mist forged….

You asked what is the point – that was the reason for the explanation.

I also stated they officially responded in another thread – was going to be tix + badges, but removed badges from the equation in the end.

I’d have to do the same amount of work as you finding it….. Pretty sure it was Jessica B – if you know how to find posts from a poster ( I don’t sorry – May not even be possible. )

To clarify, we had planned for the cost of Gift of Heroes to be a combination of tickets and badges, but the item will now only cost tickets. Tournament tickets will not expire.
