Look, I’m feeling pretty discouraged with where World Vs. World is right now.

I think it would be beneficial for Anet and the WvW community if a road map of future content was added, rather than random replies hinting at things they would like to do in the future.

Give players something to hope for, because I’m running on fumes and I need some fuel to keep me in the game.

Giving you a road map would mean someone has to know which country they are in. I don’t think they are even on the same planet as many players when it comes to WvW.

How did you manage to get Anet’s long term plan for WvW?

I think the folks pointing out how megazones and edge of the mists serve to paper over coverage gaps as a ‘soft server merge’ are on the right track. Both have a negative impact on wvw based on server nodes as it will become obvious that it’s tougher to get folks to participate.

Factions to replace servers and maybe to keep things good and qued around the clock, half as many factions as you have servers currently. 9 factions or 12 factions. Guilds sign up for the faction they want to fight for.

A sneak peak:

1. Take some of the stuff that people hate the most about EotM and bring it into WvW.
2. Add some more mastery skills that no one wants
3. The swiss tournament method wasn’t bad enough. Find an even worse model for season 3.
4. Add in more living story events into WvW
5. Reduce the drop rate of dragonite
6. Eliminate the possibility of ascended armor drops

Give them some credit. Everyone requested more features for the commander system. They delivered by making it so that enemies can no longer see the commander. That should pretty much satisfy everyone. Nothing else needed.

This sums up ANet’s stance on WvW since the game’s release pretty well, unfortunately.

All things are relative. WvWers are being engineered into Zen masters.

They most likely won’t give us a road-map seeing as the moment they do people rage every single week about the tings mentioned in the road-map not being implemented yet.
Or if they figure out that a potential change wouldn’t work as well as they had though and thus removes/changes it from the road-map, people would rages as well.

It is basically a lose whatever they do.

If they don’t tell us, we get threads like this.
If they do tell us, we get threads demanding stuff right now, and rage as soon as something changes.

i see, lord fanboy is still activly defending every bad move the devs make.

OT: as style said

A simple “to do list” would be fine….at least we could have an idea if they want to make anything in the future as they could test player base opinion.

You forgot the mandatory “exciting.”

Discouraged here as well. And concerned about Megaserver impact and the continued lack of communication. It’s a struggle right now to remain with the game, even for Tournament.

Road map for me is looking more like this everyday. And I really don’t want to go there.
