When I enter in WvWvW with a new character, I am raised to lvl 80, but it seems that armor and weapon doesn’t change.

Can you go to WvWvW with low level characters and play similar than you would do with a lvl 80 character?

short anwser is No. That’s the point. you only get both gear and skills in SPvP. In WvW it’s just the level that scales

No, your armor is dependent on what armor you actually have in the game. That is why level outside of wuvu makes a difference.

Regarding unlocked abilities and traits, no. I recommend waiting until level 30 to start participating in WvW.

However regarding gear stats. If you wear rare and masterwork gear relevant for your currently level, then your stats will be adjusted quite nicely compared to true level 80 players.

Your gear is boosted to similar quality gear for lvl 80. So if you’re wearing blue gear a few levels below you that won’t be too good compared to wearing greens or yellow gear closer to your level. And of course you’ll lack traits and skill slots which also puts you behind. That’s not to say you can’t be useful, but you should not be running around alone.

the scaling need sorting, its ok not to gain skills, and for gear to give a slight advantage, but right now its giving a faceroll advantage.

Scaling needs to make fights reasonably fair, not allow faceroll wins.

It’s not too bad, even below level 30, on some professions. My engineer got quite a few bags the other night at sub-lvl-20 using grenades. Of course, if I was caught by myself, I was squishy toast.

Well you can go when you have opened all your weapon skills. Low level player who fight is more welcome than some lvl80 dude who just kill flamingos in safe zone.
