Golem OverKill?

we used yesterday 8 golems to get a orb
plan was to run there and take down both doors in lower than 3 min cause they had a waypoint inside
it worked but time used was 4 minutes 14 so we have to improve a bit^^

Also I understand somebody managed to fraps it, I look forward to seeing the video!
I have no problems with using golems to take the overlook, but trebbing their spawn is ridiculous. Let’s not fall to ’Beastgate’ level here.

Miller’s Sound used 5 omegas yesterday on EB for the blue spawn keep. With 6 mesmer and their timewarp on top of that, we took it down and captured in 1:39m while they didnt even notice what did hit them. Unfortunatley nobody frapsed it

Golem rushes on keeps are more of a problem since they highlight the issue of how quickly and easily anyone can crush a fully upgraded keep, often faster than defense has any chance to respond. It’s simply not realistic to expect every keep to have 10 players manning siege 24/7, so inevitable some sort of siege rush will take it down in less than 5 minutes.
You could do the same thing with rams, though.

In order to do that sort of thing they need to have access to a large amount of supply and make a heavy investment. If you can truly spare that much supply and manpower without losing then you were already winning to start with.
Also, 1 person noticing it can screw t all up. Meat-grinder properly set up and done > golem army.
