Lol. I would like to compare number of players who play Wvw to their stale kitten 5 v 5 conquest which is mindnumbingly boring with the same boring small maps. Pvp is boring, Wvw is at least dynamic and more multifaceted. The reason why they made stronghold imo is due to the fact that wvw has way many more players than pvp, so they wanted to drawcp more players to a wvw style PVP match.
I lasted 20 minutes today as golem Rush was stupid. Opposing teams running in circles of cap recap cap recap cap recap…. No defense.

If this is the kind of content ANet has planned for WvW then it’s clear to me that ANet isn’t capable of creating the kind of content I enjoy, and I guess I should move on.
The problem is that anet has absolutely no clue what they want wvw to be as in what players they want to attract to it. It seems they just want to get everybody which doesn’t work at all. (that could be said about the other game modes as well but I don’t play them that much that I care about them).
Anet, identify your target audience (side note: it’s already there .. just read the bloody forum) for that game mode and actually work for them and do not freaking try to be good at everything which ends up in this mess which is the golem event.

I play WVW for the fights and to help the server to go up another tier but these golems are just dumb no skill involved and no tactics people like u will just be playing game for a little while until u get tired of the k train.

It was terrible after 1-2 hours, a week feels like an eternity in cases like this.

Funny… couldn’t find your server on my map last night and that never happens on a reset. Could only find one of the two skipping every fight to back cap towers for karma. Event is bad for fights. If you’re one of those siege-hugging ppt guilds/pugs you probably wouldn’t notice a difference, but those who want fights? Yeah, there were none.
I was talking to a friend I have on YB. We were chatting about the event. I was in Silverwastes for reset. It was two hours after reset started. The queues for FA were about 15ish for EB and about 1 for FABL. YB was essentially the same. My friend on YB was telling me that at least his four year old was having fun with it.

Different is not the problem it’s because there is no skill,tactics,defense,raid fights,and just good wvw roaming people like u need to go back to pve really.

i havent played with it because when i realized it was going on i logged out of wvw and went to do map comp that I have been putting off for the week. I already had doubts about the “event” and this solidified my feelings.
Also about banning people that was mentioned above, if they did that there would literally be noone left to WvW….
I have seen it on a bunch of different classes too. war, necro ele ranger…
Hope the new expansion has more thought put into wvw than this golem event if it is not much reason to play anymore . ANET does not listen to wat wvw players like it seems .ANET PLEASE END GOLEM EVENT.
