Golem Rush - too easy
just remove golem from the game, end of story, and have only the regular war sieges (rams, trebs, cata, balista, ac).
Archeage = Farmville with PK
Omegas are basically substitutes for tactics and brains.
So basically the kind of thing Anet likes to fill their game up with.
A good scout and well placed siege can really ruin a golem rush even when outnumbered. It’s just there is no incentive or reward to scouting inside a keep several hours so no one wants or is willing to do it.

Sorry, but I have seen a wiped by a Zerg with 10 golem. No, it’s not too easy. We melted them with a kittens tons of AC….

Omega rushes can be easily stopped, if scouted you can set up a counter and take advantage that in most cases the opposing team wants to get into lords room desperately, making them pay for recklessness
I like Omega golems…
When an enemy likes to emote after zerging me as a roamer and won’t seperate from the zerg so I can kill them or when a thief contests a keep for hours I let frustration flow in the form of 10+ Omegas strait to the enemy keep then watch the hatred flow on the forums about it.
It’s cheap and skill-less but so is zerging a roamer and emoting lol

I think Omega Golems are ok in general.
I see them as a high-investment path to almost guaranteed success in penetrating the enemy’s defense. Without Omega Golems it might be a bit too easy to bunker in with a waypoint.
Omegas are too expensive to use constantly but I think they should remain a viable option.
Then again, defending is hard enough as it is, especially with gates being as fragile as they are. I can see why you Omegas seem excessive in the current way of things. Maybe they do need harder counters.
I wouldn’t be against it but I don’t think its common enough to worry about. Even if you lose a T3 keep, its not the end of the world.

Feedback the center mass of the golems and they will splash dmg kill themselves to 50% in 2seconds.

When you have a 10-15 man “zerg” that has to split themselves amongst 4 maps, it’s tough to get back to a keep before a 10 golem group can take it. Heck, they’re through one gate before you even see swords or the WP is contested. Assuming you’ve actually been able to build a waypoint, ofc.
I would not approve a cap on golems. They are a fun way to shift the dynamics. We have used them in defense as well as the open field. Being on the defensive side wiping a golem rush is very satisfying. Even if it happens on the second or third objective. Opponents become over confident with multiple golems and a batch of ballistas or superior acs do wonders.

I think of golems as a last resort. I’ve done a lot of WvW and I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a server that abuses them to any noticeable extent. Occasionally you’ll have your keep or towers rolled with a dozen omegas but it’s not something that’s out of hand. On top of that, as others have mentioned, well placed siege can bring them down pretty easily. Ever seen an omega stand under a pot of oil when someone has burning oil mastery?
