In my opinion golems after recent updates are ruining the defending/upgrading aspect of WvW. You can get alphas for 10 silver each, omegas for like 1 gold. Im in a defending guild which are claiming hills usually, but what is the incentive when you pay 5 gold and 6 hours+ upgrading a keep, running dollies to have it golem rushed in 3 minutes the moment there isnt any scout there or if you’re too few people to even man the siege.
Some suggestions:
-Making upgrades in keeps ect free, at least if you claim it with your guild!
-Nurf golems
-Make them expensive again/deny them from trading post.
-Fortify gates.
-Rewards for scouting keeps or towers
-Better defence against golems since tbh 4+ acs cant really do much against 10+ golems. What about making an arrowcart trait that gives some + % against golems like 50-100%+ dmg against golems.
-Other kinds of offensive siege and defence siege
What do you guys think?

Land mines.
Land mines that work like the traps in WvW.
They take out 1/3 of a golem health(or less or more)
Only one per character can be deployed.
Players cannot set off the mine, only golems.
To counter this, golems have two new skills
-detect landmines. Similar to the detect trap skill in guild rushes
-remove landmine. A ranged 5 sec channel skill that removes mines in a certain area.
Consider the numbers to be X variables and can be any number for balance sake.

There is not much good counter siege to Omega Golem rush^^;.
Most Ac’s have to be in range of their missiles to be able to hit them.
Best thing to do is to have Sup.Trebs set up behind gates so you can hit them over the walls without the Golems ever hitting your trebs~
lol omega golem rushes EVERYWHERE! its the new meta….golems everywhere. i see 3 people and 1 golem trying to ninja a tower, then i walk to the next tower and there is 2 golems and 10 people. then u port back to garrison and there is 8 omegagolems at the watergate and 3 on the north west gate….0.o

Arrow Carts eat blobs.
Golems eat Arrow Carts.
Something has to be top predator.
Something I would like to see is a guild upgrade in Art of War 3, that gives 1% of money looted in WvW to a separate guild bank. Players who can claim objectives within the guild can then pay for upgrades using this separate bank. Or something like that.
Either that or a system where everyone in the zone gets the option to chip in a few silver towards whatever upgrade is being queued somewhere, with the remainder being paid by whoever queued it.

I like landmind idea.
I don’t sympathize with groups that are not interested in placing a sentry and I don’t mind golem rushes. Been on the giving and recieveing end.

The new meta will be stealth thieves placing landmines on the golems feet outside the keep while they’re standing there firing.
This will result in the new meta of golems + excessive stealth trapping.
This will result in the new meta of kamikaze stealth trap detonators.
Which will result in stealth trap protection traps to stop kamikaze stealth trap detonators.
And so goes the circle of meta life.
The underlying issue is that massed omegas supported by a map zerg is virtually unstoppable short a counter map zerg.
When you have fully fortified keeps and towers one would expect to be able able to buy enough time to muster a resistance, but massed omegas simply overwhelm gates or walls in seconds. Given that, what’s the point of fortifying and sentrying in the first place?
Blitzkrieg is a known real world tactic and the massed omega rush is very similar, however from a gameplay standpoint it reduces effective and efficient play to map hopping queue zergs with massed omegas and little else.
It’s frustrating for the undermanned defenders and while initially rewarding for attackers it’s quite possibly even less challenging than pve.

yep feedback is epic on omegas. they keep hitting themselves
