Guild Wars 2

WvW is the one thing i haven’t done much in gw2, mainly because zerging isn’t my kind of thing, also because it requires a diffirent build you actually have to spend money on unlike in pvp & i haven’t really wanted to spend money for that until now.

Zerging still isn’t my kind of thing so I would prefer to roam around.
Now i’m wondering what the better classes are to roam with.

I mostly play guardian, ele, engi & mesmer but i’d prefer to stick with engi or mesmer for roaming.

Can someone tell me what the better roaming classes are?

Since you give us the choice of either mesmer or engi, I’d say that engi is better suited for roaming than mesmer.. Engineer has a wide variety of skills and utilities that can aid you in all kinds of situations.. A mesmer more or less lacks that variety..
I’m no expert in either one of them, btw..

However, the best roaming class is definitely a ranger, in my opinion..

Whichever class you think will make it easier for you to a) escape zergs that appear from around a corner unexpectedly, and b) kill/escape instagib thieves.

You’ll be doing both. A lot.

Personally, I’ll take the stealth and teleport skills instead of the teapots. But I’ve never played engi, so I’m hardly impartial.

Completely Solo?
Thief > Everything Else

Small Havoc Group?
Anything can work

Engi is much faster than a mesmer. And you probably need to get away from time to time.

Any of those 4 can be played effectively as roamers.

engi is a good solo/sm group roamer. i especially like engi in WvW cause you can be very versatile with a single build.

Thanks guys. I guess most of it comes down to personal preference.
I do agree that thief probably is the best & easiest class to roam with but I just don’t enjoy thief at all. Same with ranger. Just not my type of class.

I think i’m going to stick with engi for roaming. A lot of versatility & more out of combat mobility than mesmer making it easier to survive and/or escape outnumbered fights & zergs I guess.
