Guild Wars 2

Fought a thief several tines tonight which for me is not a healthy thing to do. During one of the many fights I had switch to the meta build for rangers and hit him with the usual rapid fire. He never at any time took over 400 damage from any critical hits from that. Most of the fights with him he ran a D/P with SB. Another who had fought him called him a hacker. But I am thinking maybe he was legit. If so I want that build for my thief toon. I know he was stealing my skills from time to time in the fights I had with him which is the only utility skill I am sure of. I have always been able to get my measure of thieves before but not tonight. I hope he got nothing but spikes. All ten of them. Anything you can teach me? Other than to leave him alone.

Block him so you can get his name than whisper him. Most people are willing to tell you what they are running and to duel you to help you improve as long as you aren’t a jack kitten .

Your are sure it was dp and no pd?

Some D/P thieves like the safe route and roll full cavalier.

The thief ran a couple of different builds during our string of fights as did I. But my main point is I had never hit anyone with a burst that included 4 crit hits in a row, and seen so little damage. I run ascended everything. When I get a burst in usually that person is looking for an exit. He wouldn’t accept a party invite and I didn’t push it. If I see him again I will keep on going.

To the above, learn to read. It was one of the builds I ran trying to defeat him. It was during one of the ten or so fights I had when the above happened. I wanted info on how a thief could take a burst including 4 crits in a row that never did over 4oo damage and the others 275 or so.

Full SA+Hidden Killer,only focuses on backstab so uses valkyrie/cavalier….I miss those thieves.

High toughness,power and crit damage,low crit chance out of stealth,good sustain…basically a resourceful tank.
