Maybe the Season 1 “Reward Chest” was a troll but maybe there are better things to focus on. WvW players should have expected a lame reward as that is the custom in these chests. I have Never ever ever gotten an ascended or even a precursor from wvw….well actually I’ve never gotten one EVER Anywhere. I sit at 42500 kills and 550ranks so maybe not the highest but still I’ve been doing this primarily for 14months now and have learned WvW isn’t about personal wealth.

Sure it would be great to get a nice reward chest. Maybe the point of Season 1 was to get more people talking about WvW and server ranks and how WvW could be improved. We all know by now that they only work on things that the majority of people complain about. Kind of like how human warrior gets so much attention.

So my theory is, season 1 was just trying to get more and more people to be interested in WvW whether it is good or bad so they had enough interest and push to work on fixing the broken system that is in place right now.

So troll away about reward chests good people of Tyria but at least WvW is getting more attention to continue to be improved (hopefully). And thank you Anet. Although the reward chest was basically just a rank chest with no badges of honor, I did enjoy the hundreds of easy noobbags you brought me this season.
