Great new WvW
I’m with you on rotating in some new maps. They should test them in EoTM though, in my opinion to gauge people’s reaction. Also, maybe not adding on top of the maps in WvW since it can stretch some of the world population a bit thin. That being said, Anet took a beating with the last WvW map because, in my opinion, stuck up WvWrs couldn’t wrap their head around how to fight on the new map, and it wasn’t ‘zerg friendly’. I personally think it’s a great map!
WvW is way better right now.
I actually like the idea of some big map that can actually host GvG.
I mean, Currently people are doing it in OS’s arena. But there is a small limit that people need to be on different server. And Guild Hall arena still not quite the answer since it’s actually as small as OS’s arena and use PvE stat

DBL is a beautiful map! The only problem, IMO, is the elevation. There are way too many cliffs. This is what makes it hard to traverse the map. Yes the map is the same length as ABL, but it takes longer to travel because of the obstacles of HEIGHT.

All the HOT era maps have fantastic (as in unreal) amounts of cliff-iness for their horizontal spans. And what makes for fun with cliffs in HOT PvE is, of course, flight.
The fix could be to allow flight on the desert map, as probably originally planned?
If air combat would be anything like underwater noodle smacking or the homing 1hit knockdowns in bloodstone Fen, no thanks.

It is evident ANET already gave up balancing water combat in most competitive senses. What makes you think they would entertain Air combat?

A new border with air and underwater combat is a MUST! Not very big, but verticaly, like HoT maps. I like small maps, for rapid encounter, because you don’t need to walk 10 minutes and after that, die in 10 seconds. Alpine border has the perfect size, desert is too large. Replacing one of the two alpine border with air and underwater border combat, it will be just FINE
