So, I am looking for ways as a solo player can help in the WvWvW effort. I have found several during my days, but I came across something very interesting. For capturing Guard points, you score 1 point for your world. See wiki link below for information.

So I thought to myself, what is the point of giving those points other than artificially inflating scores. Why? Because you get 1 point for flipping it. I was excited because I thought to myself, Finally a way a solo player can directly influence the WvWvW score. Until I realized that mathematically speaking it is pointless.

I flip for Red Server, then Green flips it right back. Therefore, there is a zero point differential. The only way to score points on these guards is for another world to flip it. So it is kinda pointless from a WvWvW point of view.

So if I might make a small suggestion? Why not instead of providing a single point once, make it a point per 15 minutes like camps, towers, keeps, and SM. Either that, or just remove the extra point you get from flipping it once.

Basically you are correct, although if red and green keep flipping it back and forth they each are slightly gaining on blue. In general, though, it’s pretty mindless.
