With my schedule, I often end up playing when another side dominates all maps and there are few of my teammates around.

It seems to me that the best thing I can do to help my side is try to kill as many supply dolyaks as possible. Starving fortresses for supplies can delay their upgrades, which will be a help when more of my team shows up.

It’s even possible (not to mention entertaining) to kite dolyaks away from a supply camp and kill them before they hit the road.

On the other hand, killing the sentries at strong points seems to do little more than stick a thumb into the enemy’s eye. (Not a bad thing, but not much help for my team.) And, in fact, it can get in the way of killing dolyaks, since changing the flag color of a strongpoint it is almost guaranteed to summon a crowd of enemy to retake it.

Probably helping the quaggan build a weather station is even less helpful: it takes a long time to solo this, and not nearly as much time as it does to destroy a weather station.

At least that’s how it seems to me. Your thoughts?

I kill both, in fact I think that killing dolyaks nets more points than holding the supply camp itself. Camped some recently watching the respawn rates on a map owned by both enemies. It looked like I was getting 2 points each time I killed one. Just killing one shipment of both of them netted almost as much as holding that camp for what … 13 minutes or so? The respawn rate was under 5 minutes. I can see now why people roam and kill them. Some think you get more points according to the distance they have traveled but I haven’t read an official statement about that. Wasn’t around for beta so maybe lots of things were said that no longer have an archive. You certainly don’t really see anything that says killing them gives points in the tutorial.

If you do a calculation and had enough ppl doing it… say the enemies own 6 supply camps on 4 maps each upgraded. If you had enough ppl killing dolyaks, couldn’t you get a minimum at 2pts each at a 5m respawn rate on each side to gain
12(6 kills per camp)x6(camps)=72×4(maps) = 288 points every 15 minutes? Just holding the camps would give you 24(camps)*5(points per camp)=120 points (about every 15 minutes).
I could see a losing team making that a strategy if they can’t seem to hold property. Maybe I’m doing the math wrong? Seems to be something worth trying. With more ppl escorting dolyaks there would be less 30+ man attacks lol

It’s something I can do sly solo and don’t have to talk the zerg into participating in.
Usually I find some other person on the enemy side and we get close to a supply camp then take that too. It becomes a catalyst to a mock group forming when we randomly find each other roaming. We don’t group formally but sort of know that together we can do things faster with more.

Quaggans I only tinker with. They never seemed to turn a winner into a loser yet. I’ve watched them take siege down to half health though when defending a keep once. Three ballistas were dropped to half and it seemed like they all got attacked separately in waves. What I’d like to know is… does the lightning that hits a player keep it from hitting a siege weapon? I have definitely been hit by that lightning. If so, it would be beneficial to stack players in keeps with siege when lightning attacks until it’s taken off. Hard to test tho, imagine – excuse me everyone, get out of this keep so I can test lightning and see if the ones hitting me hit the siege or not or if I can take their damage instead.

Middle quaggan island gives thunderstorms for 15 min

top, and side quaggan nodes give quaggan squads to harrass or reinforce all 3 keeps and bottom and bottom right supply camps.

15 pearls to flip the quaggan nodes or kill krait, some one once said they think taking a node makes the thunderstorms aim in that nodes direction on the map, not confirmed though, thunderstorms usaully hit seige/players on all 3 keeps in a BL, with or without nodes as well, from what I seen.

You can try to solo supply camps, if you have full exotics, just kite 1-2 out at a time, takes longer but worth it if u can pull it off.

hit a tower door, once u hit it it stays contested for 5 minutes.

I have a Gorilla squad I run within my guild everyday, we have our own purpose aside from the main force.

i don’t believe killing yaks or sentries or just capping any points gives you points.

the only thing you get points for is the objectives you hold when score is tallied every 15 minutes.

killing yaks is very useful for starving a nearby tower or keep in teh upgrading and siege stages… but it doesn’t go directly to the score board when you kill them. it’s more of an indirect effect that objectives are harder to hold if they are starved for siege there fore easier for your team to take them and there fore potentially deny your enemy the points and gain them for your team instead.

who doesn’t love wow clones?

If you don’t believe it, what do you think is ticking. Watch the pvp scores, they tick for small increments all the time between the main points counter. It’s not player’s killed, I’ve watched during large battles and it doesn’t tick for that. You just aren’t paying attention I suppose.
