Guide to maximizing Season 2 rewards
How about you keep your 2400 gems and stop trying to break our quality of life on lower tiers so you can get a stupid weapon skin?
@OP:
1. Season 2 lasts for 9 weeks.
2. There IS a defending achievement.
So will the PVE skin/achievement junkies come in an jack the queues up for the hardcore WvW guys?
Last day to take advantage of free xfers !
A side effect of free xfers can be seen by the pve multi-boxers / bots that run the Frostgorge Champ Train on Kaineng server with impunity. Easy way to tag along to farm T6 mats and gold for siege blueprints / upgrades in WvW
lot of really good things
When season 2 start, low population servers will be medium population due to the influx of pvers chasing achievements and rewards and they will become a zerg capturing objectives but not defending as there are no defend / yak escort achievements. another lot of interesting things
No, at all, people stacked to some silver league server, both in EU and in NA. In EU things were helped by the fact that of the silver league free transfer, only one (Gandara) was international, so guess what, ALL the bandwagoners went there.
The maximum amount of gems you have to spend is 2400, just treat it as a quality of life gemstore purchase for no queues and buying a Season 2 weapon skin.
To the Arena Net staff that is reading this: I’m sure you’re happy that you’ve achieved your goal of selling gems (even if I’m sure that reward hunters are actually people that has stacks of gold so they can burn 250g for that)
I’m not. And I’m really sure you won’t care. Have a nice day

When you breakdown the 2400gem cost to 250g, it does seem like a lot of money, about half the price of a precursor.
Considering that some of the WvW meta achievements may reward half a component to craft a Season 2 skin, the top 3 ranked servers in each league have a very good chance to end up with 2 Season 2 skins due to the large amount of points.
With the upcoming wardrobe changes, this means unlocking the skin for use with all your characters on account. Imagine a warrior using mace/shield having access to both skins.
As a friendly poster up there pointed out, the season last 9 weeks. The ‘rest period’ in between seasons is about 1-2 months. This means the access to skins is minimum 3 – 5 months. Lots of players have the " I want it now " and would pay 250g for a skin rather than wait.
The longbow and shield skin looks very yummy !
GW2 sustains itself by gem sales rather than subscription based model. The WvW team has a hard time justifying putting resources into WvW if they do not sell gems. I can only think of PvP finishers as one revenue. By allowing server transfers during the tournament, it is a way of selling a 2400gem skin ( equivalent to 4 pvp finishers cost ). It also allows PvE players to throw money into WvW content.

It’s legitimate and everybody has their way to play the game. There are people who spend a lot of time just flipping items so they can have more gold. There are people who just afk and chat. You and others will play like this? Ok, fine to me, at least I appreciate you’re genuine. But I won’t support it, ever.

Think about this for a moment… look real close at the mistforge weapon and think to yourself… do you really want a semen-tail based weapon? (excluding bows/shield)

(same logic as the first season) Come to us bronze servers and you won’t have to deal with the achievement hunters caused queues.
Please give us a keyring…

I do not server jump for little reasons like that. I have been playing with the same set of people since beta. We have moved servers together before and some have split off. I am a guild of one, ensuring I have the option of following the people I can count on.
I can anticipate most commanders moves because of our history playing together -without TS or chat. If I run into 3 enemies, but see one of my teammates headed our way I can tell by his name whether I should get out if it when it starts going bad, or hold out until he gets there because I know he will join in and we will more than likely have the advantage in a 3 vs 2.
That takes time, the kinda time I am not willing to put in here again.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled PVE invading WvW for reasons of shiny pixels program.
Aren’t the top tier servers usually full, so you can’t transfer back to them after two weeks?
I find the skins pretty ugly so I don’t care about ranking anymore.
