Guild Claimer Boss Buff
It still takes a zerg about 2-3 minutes to kill it. The thing is if there was NO way to kill it, the zerg would just wait there patiently, showing no cross-swords and no intention on what they are going to do next.
How I see it, at least with the ability (albeit slowly) to kill the Claimer, zergs will have that ‘oooh shiny lets kill it’ mob mentality and try to kill it. This at least lets the opposing team(s) know that something is happening there and allows them to plan accordingly (there is their zerg, go attack them from behind! or there is their zerg, let’s go take their tower, or lets cut them off, etc.)
Sometimes the mob mentality is dumb but works in your favour.

The buff works like this: it reduces direct dmg by 100% and condition duration by 100%. So conditions can deal damage if you have any increased condition duration (for example elementalist fire trait line), either through bleeds/poison/burn or by applying vulnerability so that you can hit with regular attacks.
Vayra – Elementalist
Forkrul Assail – Mesmer
It’s a poor description, but still working as intended.

Leeching onto this thread… Why sometimes the guild supervisor has no buff when we try to cap it?
You need two things to efficiently kill with the buff up:
1) Vulnerability
2) Poison
People tend to overlook the poison, but in the time it takes to kill the boss, they will get a heal off, and if you can half that heal it’s a huge amount of damage you don’t need to do.
