Had a bunch of organized wvw players unhappy that their spontaneous GvG was “spoiled” by a zerg in Eb the other night, and I am wondering, is this something that people typically complain about in maps other than the Obsidian Sanctum arena?
There is a spot for organized fights, why complain about people attempting to take/defend objectives?
Cause they think the whole world evolves about them and their meaningless gvg on non OS maps.
OS might already be used by another gvg.
OS might already be used by another gvg.
but why would they go to EB to GvG..
My guild GvGs and I GvG with them, We would rather wait 30 minutes for another map to open up then go to EB and try and GvG
Some "GvG"s aren’t planned, they just sort of happen when 2 guilds meet on the field. They would still prefer to have a fair, un-interrupted fight. It just isn’t “official” and pre-planned.
Most decent guilds will respect a fair fight. There is a strong correlation between scrubiness and ganking. Not all of them tho….
GvGs that aren’t tucked away on a corner of a map are fair game IMO… same with duels. I try not to be a kitten and disrupt but you see 5 or 10 guys beating on another group near SM and I am going to barrel in before someone has time to chat “stop”.
There are tons of places in EB to duel/gvg out of the way including around speldan but away from the camp, behind Bravost, in the krait area, near the ogre camp and a few more.

Anybody that gvg’s on EB deserves for it to be crashed..
just sayin’
I don’t have a problem with this, not a big fan either because I don’t like anyone telling me how to play the game that I bought. What I don’t like is the hypocrisy of some of the guilds I come across, “pugs” (almost always used in a derogatory manner) must in no way interfere or harm the way they wish to play the game however they will happily drop your server at a moments notice or disrupt your play style without a single thought.
Personally I’ll try to honour however another person/group wishes to play, and likewise the more mature guilds will do the same. If a person or group do, interfere knowingly or not, better to shrug it off instead of having a meltdown in chat or ordering them to adhere to your personal demands.
If you did not notify the other commanders on whatever map, don’t be surprised if the zerg will chase orange swords.
Even if you did notify them, don’t be surprised to get crashed once. Only repeated crashing of a gvg is trolling and complaint worthy.
