Can anybody tell me why the guild tags got removed from targets like this?

not in a guild maybe?

It’s the guy stood infront of him, on the view all enemies you can see he’s in the guild [hot]. But when selected his guild tag vanishes still displaying the name of the guild.

Slomo matey just take it as a bug and don’t stress it too much(bug report it to anet if ya see it again).

It’s not a bug, it’s a feature!
Also he may have been skillfree but not that good looking so the game automatically fixed this by removing the tag? Makes much sense to me.
