Oh I’m totally up for warrior brawls in the island. Will tell my guildies if you decide to make one, some of our best players are warriors.

I’m curious as to what you are all expecting?

Moving to T8/T7 with guilds that not only run in high numbers but are built around the principle of fighting zergs. Vast majority of guilds in these tiers either:
- have much smaller numbers
- only have numbers on ‘event’ nights
- are social guilds
- aren’t guilds at all, but pugs.

Yet you object when they have to gather up in forces to fight back? If they don’t gather up you will likely be meeting a smaller force, and instead saying there is no resistance.

Partly this could be a different use of terminology, for me ‘blob’ means numbers. If you wish to use the term blob as meaning combined guilds instead then not only does it still make sense due to the above, but there’s only been one time so far that I’ve seen any of you under a single tag. There is always a mixture of your guilds as well.

It seems you expect T7 to be T1 just with less total numbers/lag, when in reality it’s entirely different. Hardcore players down here are in far the minority and many of the hardcore guilds that are here, moved here specifically because they fight in smaller numbers.

It’s naive to expect anything less. Players down at this end of the ladder aren’t “bad”, they just play in a different game.

I understand the blobbing and support it. You need to understand that we don’t have the ability to compete with you on a consistent basis. Sure we have PRXM most nights, but the other large guilds are limited to their guild nights which means that for the most part our coordinated groups are much much smaller than yours.

Like most guilds on GH SOE run with 10 members and there’s not much we can do in this match up, sure we can try ninja something but inevitably we’ll have a 25 man VcY or RiOT guild dropping on top of us. Who’s zerging who in that situation? At this point we (SOE) have basically given up any hope of a fair fight and are just messing around. See you on the battlefield.

Everyone is invited to join us there via guesting, and unless there’s a hard head-to-head rivalisation for a spot on the box, that shouldn’t be much of a problem for anyone.
Why Hoelbrak and not just some spot in WvW? So that we can actually sit together and talk, and have fun without limitations or party poopers.

If it collides with the GvGs and duels, you can join up a bit later – or just start the duels an hour earlier/later =)

For the past few weeks versus Dzagonur it’s been the regular occurrence for there to be some small duels/gvg’s on a friday before reset (1v1-5v5 ish). Obviously with this week the reset being earlier means it’ll have to be saturday, as earlier on a friday doesn’t really give much chance for people to be online. However that’s a new matchup, not old.

Either way, would anyone like to do such a thing? 4v4/5v5 are certainly what we normally aim for but there are always duels going on while people wait.

Had tons of fun on RoF borders tonight, somehow somebody (/glare) decided to put me in charge of a bunch of people and when RoF decided to attack Garrison from 2 sides i actually ran in circles on the spot for a while until i whimpered on TS “Where do i go first?!”

Also, grats to the guy from EPIC who finally got his world completion! Enjoy those Gifts of Exploration, and hope to see you with a legendary soon

If you are going to call a guild out on Cheating or exploiting.. message the Guild leader or report them rather than shouting about it on the forums.. it will just end up starting a row again.

Played WvW for about an hour last night on our borderland. Smashing fun. Mahoosive numbers of RoS

I started off at Garrison, scouting the RoS blob moving east to west through the water. This would have been just after 9pm UK time. I was amazed I wasn’t spotted and killed. I commented on this on voice comms and the responses was “They probably aren’t interested.”

At that point I thought, “Holy Kitten… ITS THE BORG!”

Anyway, coming out the water, RoS blob at sentry between Bay and Garrison, RoS move up from sentry to left of slope up to SW gate, I’m relaying on comms. Our guys push out into the blob.

It looked awesome, both armies rushing into each other. And I got it all on video
I came running up from the water, so hopefully I’ve got some nice vid of the battle. I’ll check over the weekend.

For a while afterwards I was at the bottom of the SW gate to Garrison, watching the RoSborgblob. They moved around like a flock of birds. There’d be a few stragglers then a massive forming up. Got some great vid of the various attempts to push forward after balling up bottom of the slope.

Shortly after the battle at Bay I logged, knackered. That was a seriously big swarm of red. Epic fight, good response from RoS. The vid I got was not great. Essentially it is a few minutes of me dying and rallying. Not exactly epic viewing

Great fun last night on RoJ BL. Our outmanned force managed to hold of the RoS attempts to get garrison for quite some time, great fights, fun times. Thanks to all on all sides and gz to the player you finally got world completion!

The massive blobs that exist in T1 are tbh vey depressing, we are a social guild too and enjoy playing together, this wasnt possible in T1 anymore, this is possible now.

After all, don’t you think it’s pretty pointless to move en masse to a lower tier? It’s obvious that the server will rise quickly and you’ll end up at the starting point, in other words, blobs and lag.

What will you do at that point? Another mass transfer to start over? And then again, again, again … It’s clear that this game has limits in W3, but it is equally obvious that the players are committed to make things worse, and the absurd thing is that it would take very little to prevent the blobs fest.

Haha, yes, massive blobs on the opposition CAN be depressing.

Maybe I should follow the approach of the really big guilds and take my tiny guild down to Tier 13/14, where I can beat up on the one guy who logs on in primetime and then tell him how awesome it is in his tier that I don’t have to face massive odds anymore ;p

Unfortunately eventually I guess we’d just get promoted back to T7 thanks to ArenaNet’s STUPID system of matching up servers with equal numbers/organisation automatically through the ladder, so I’d probably have to pick another T13 server and repeat the process or I might end up actually fighting guilds of around our size. That would SUCK.

It keeps surprising me how guilds that have been in the same matchup for weeks and KNOW [PI] doesn’t condone glitching or whatever come out here acting as if I allow glitching and trying to tarnish my guild’s name instead of having a bit of tact and just contact me.
We have always played fair so don’t come on here trying to say we don’t, if the glitch hapenned then its obviously an isolated case and I will look into it. I’m also fairly sure none of us would even know how to glitch into something.

I’ve been on SFR since day one, and I stayed there until we got to T1, so I know how T1 works. I also know what it means to be on a beautiful server ruined by mass transfer.

Do you really think there is a difference between the blobs of Gandara, FSP, or Aurora Glade and those of Vizunah? Really? The numbers are always the same, and I assure you that the zerg of Gandara or Aurora Glade in some ways are even worse because they are really organized (FSP zerg is quite similar to Vizunah zerg).

Don’t you want to believe me? Np, the problems is your not mine, but it’s really annoying to see people complaining about the blob while they actively contribute to create the problem.

Don’t you like the blob? Well, I’ll tell you a secret there are 7 servers in the lower tiers, and two of these are almost empty.

The point is that in lower tiers the guilds are usually smaller and they will cooperate with other guilds to win. So talking about “Oooh, our pro guild is fighting blobs, we are so awesome” makes no sense to me. Sorry, You are simply fighting GH force – calling us blob will not make You look cooler :P

As this week ends, as i said last week to Dzago guys, i am sad to see RoF drop a tier but next week we will be at the place you are now probably.

As soon as those people move up we can have the awesome fights we had for 3 weeks again:)

This week was a matter of missing our previous matchup vs gunnar and dzagonur. Despite Gunnars always came out first, it was a good matchup. Server ranks got balanced.

This week was rather bad for servermorale. As far as it looks now we tier down, for us it means a bit of breathingspace.

In our guild we did more in WvW then usual in this week. I think it was a cross between curiosity and challenge. (Our trip to RoS on tuesday evening was one of those examples for that. I think it was one of our longer bay fights ever.)

Latest transferes to RoS tell me that you people need to tier up for a bit to find a challenging matchup. Good luck on that.

As for Gunnars, we’ll be back! :P (and good luck on next week)
