Have these 2 giants in WvW ever fought?
Who is the winner?

I have had the honor to run with both guilds as a pug and they have both been dominant in stamping their mark into every map they are in every reset night.
If they are in ebg, SMC is usually theirs.
If they are in bl, the enemy’s garrison is usually theirs.

I am really eager to know who will win between these WvW giants.

AHMA is in BG i think.
TW is in TC.

Timezone difference for one, but I suppose being on the same server sort of helps. AHMA is sea (and/or ocx?) and TW is NA and sometimes EU. Next there is probably the mentality difference. So far, I have only seen TW really just lead pugs with their group of 10-15, and usually only have interest in doing that. AHMA does do more private raids (or at least when Sea timezone had more activity in T1). Besides that, the only thing I have seen AHMA do is boon share like the rest of the Sea guilds have done for the last 2 years (e.g. ND, cA, SuS, whoever else is left… ). And to be frank, the gvg scene is boring with the current Meta (if that is what you were implying).

I miss GvGs so much… The GvG scene died because of a meta that doesn’t reward good gameplay. The best period of GW2 will have been that time just before the new trait system came into place where GvG guilds were fighting every evening on all borderlands.

I think they had a GvG a LOOOOONG time ago when TW was on JQ and AHMA was on TC. As I recall AHMA thrashed TW, but that’s not particularly surprising, AHMA was reking everyone back then.

TW doesn’t gvg, they don’t have the right comp on… at any time.
Dods will do pugblob vs pugblob if you want tho.
Also if you want gvg probably should look at GS instead.

Lol “two giants”. AHMA might gvg, but TW never has the “right comp” on or have “trial” players. Doesn’t matter though because GS is still better than both guilds.

TW will ask for “open field” fights against their 60 people tho so it’s cool right?

TW doesnt run large in terms of their guild numbers, they are very good at building up and leading pug zergs. They dont use gvg builds because outside of that setting those builds can be useless. GS might be good at having their members ball up and stack boons, but their players are not very good in small fights from what I’ve seen, at least not when running those gvg builds. TW players on the other hand are extremely good, and can easily beat anyone 1v1 or in small fights. AHMA is unfortunately way out of my timezone so I have never had the pleasure of running with them. I have run alongside GS and TW, and obviously fought against them, and I find TW to be much better.

The only GvG that matters is NWA v. Everyone.
